We have just enjoyed a gloriously sunny 3 night stay at this wonderful hotel.We visited a few years ago but since then the hotel, pools and spa have had a revamp and are now very plush ,modern and clean. We ate twice in the hotel and had great food and excellent service.The staff were polite and helpful. We visited theRosemoor gardens which were well worth a visit andBaggy Point which was great . Overall excellent value for money and can certainly recommend. Thank you to all the hard working staff.

We’ve just returned from a 2 night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. After sending an email to the hotel, they kindly upgraded us to a sea facing room which really enhanced our experience. The staff are all friendly, professional and courteous. The room itself had been refurbished and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was of a very good standard with plenty of choice. We had dinner one night which was of a high standard and the service was very attentive. The hotel clearly sells itself on the stunning view which is the star of this establishment. During our short time there we visited the beachside grill and had lunch. Although it belongs to the hotel it has a very different vibe with dogs and noise. Our visit to the thermal suite was enjoyable but sadly the hot tub wasn’t very hot. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and appreciate the hotels kindness in upgrading our room.

We stayed at Saunton Sands hotel for my birthday and our second anniversary, it was amazing! The location is fantastic for going to the beach. The outdoor pool was beautiful in the sunshine and we used the spa on our second day, the view of the beach was beautiful and the indoor pool was lovely too. The food was great and the staff were so helpful and friendly.

This hotel was worth the gruelling 4 hour journey in hot and tiring conditions. The room faced the sea which lulled one to sleep of a night. The food was superb (fish and chips) in particular. Staff very helpful.It was good to see so many people and their dogs enjoying themselves on the beach. Kept us amused for a time. From the moaners (trolls) etc. think of all those poor souls stuck in unfriendly flats etc in the heat and BE GRATEFUL

Awful stay at Saunton Sands, I’ve stayed in over 40 hotels in the past 6 months and this was by far one of the worst. The place was chaotic, the staff were all over the place & I don’t understand how so many people think this place is amazing. The room was dated, minus the bathroom, the breakfast was mediocre and the spa… wouldn’t go as far as calling it a spa, the sauna was barely hot, the lockers break on you and the hot tub smelt like damp. The manager Kevin who I dealt with was awful, no manners and incredibly rude, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. A complaint had been submitted to the hotel. EDIT: Reached out to the hotel, had a response from the general manager Anthony Kingdon … the response was very dismissive, avoiding taking accountability for my complaint and concerns, and quite frankly was the most difficult person to deal with, his attitude was awful, he refused to respond to my queries and in the end refused to pass my complaint on to anyone when there is blatant negligence happening, this really shows you what kind of people are running this place. Honestly, avoid like the plague, save your money cause you can get so much better in a short drive away.

Location was fantastic. Beatiful views (we had seaview appartments). Free parking. Hotel was fantastic. Beautifully decorated. Ours rooms were amazing. The delux room had an enormous balcony which was great. The Staff were fantastic. Go out of their way to help us. Paul upon our arrival was very helpful. Our cleaner (room 311) was equally helpful. All the waiting staff were very attentive though very busy. The rooms included a 45 mins free use of some of the spa, another unexpected perk. The food was amazing. The outside areas were amazing.

A welcomed post Christmas & New Year family break. We stayed in one of the hotel’s apartments. I was concerned that the Art Deco hotel might have been stuck with 1930’s decoration and plumbing - a faded shadow of its former self. It was also the end of the season; would the staff be jaded. No! They couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much of a problem. The apartment was exceptionally well equipped, spacious and clean; the hotel spa and swimming pool equally welcoming and clean. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

A short mid-week break was wonderful, weather was perfect and the Spar staff made us feel more than welcome. Evening meal was great, selection on the menu was good. Breakfast was enjoyable.
