Jiangkou Hotels with Breakfast

Staying at Xieshan Jingshe, nestled at the foot of Fanjing Mountain, felt just like going back to my grandma's house when I was a child. Stepping off the car, crossing a small bridge, and entering the courtyard, there was an immediate sense of familiarity and peace. A babbling stream flowed in front, while silent mountains loomed behind. The courtyard was lush with greenery, exuding the scent of damp earth and the passage of time. Moss slowly spread along the flagstone path, and bamboo shadows swayed gently. Koi fish glided serenely in the pond, and the bell by the entrance chimed softly in the breeze, making you instinctively lighten your steps. This wasn't some contrived 'Chinese style,' but a place truly lived in. Their attentiveness was subtle but profound. Knowing roughly when we'd arrive, they'd already warmed the room, even the comforter was toasty. A wisp of sandalwood incense was slowly burning, and the tea set was neatly arranged, as if awaiting its owner's return. The moment I opened the door, my heart felt at ease. The furnishings inside reflected a restrained and tasteful Chinese aesthetic. Carved wooden window lattices, soaring double-leaf Chinese doors, and soft, warm lighting – each item seemed to have stepped out of an earlier time. The collected artifacts and calligraphies were not flashy, yet each quietly told its own story. For dinner, we decided to stay in rather than venture out, opting for a 'home-cooked meal.' Upon hearing our request, the auntie immediately sprang into action – she went to another part of the property, caught a chicken, and stewed a fresh pot of chicken soup. Then she dug fresh fiddlehead ferns from the vegetable patch, still carrying the aroma of earth. There were also her homemade salted duck eggs, not overly salty, yet oily with just one bite. The firewood slowly burned, the soup in the pot gently simmered, and the aroma of the food gradually filled the air. That scent wasn't the refined fragrance of a restaurant, but the long-missed, comforting taste of home. This isn't just a 'chic' guesthouse; it’s far more touching than many of them. It's like a well-preserved slice of life – quiet, authentic, and full of warmth. This is a place one will remember and want to return to for another short stay.

A few days before arrival, I requested contact via wechat through Trip.com and got a response from the B & B. From our first contact, the B & B was so helpful in answering my queries and putting my mind at rest. They recommended getting a taxi or DIDI from the train station. I used the DIDI App and took a DIDI  from the station to the B & B. It took us an hour 20 minutes and I was in constant communication with the B & B. Upon arrival, a male staff (feels like the owner) approached to greet me and take my luggage. The B & B had a very calm atmosphere as you walk through the serene garden and the pool on the right hand side. The B & B only opened last year (2025) and it looks very stylish and modern with clean lines. The male staff who greeted me when I first arrived was very helpful throughout my stay and we communicated mostly by wechat. His son was also very adorable who hung out in the lobby. Breakfast was simple but filling and it came with the room I stayed in. I would highly recommend this B & B as it is the best in the area and just looking around would support that.

Amazing! Fascinating! Fanjingshan was the final stop of our memorable 10-day tour of Guizhou Province, and we truly could not have chosen a better place to conclude our journey. We felt genuinely blessed to stay at this lovely guesthouse for three nights. From the very beginning, the owner Mr. Zhang Haotian and his family made us feel completely at home; they were warm, engaging, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are tastefully designed and thoughtfully laid out, perfectly sized for comfort. Our room offered a soothing view of the river, along with a private balcony; an ideal spot to relax with your favourite tea or coffee. The modern touches were impressive too, especially the high-tech sensor toilet, which added a pleasant surprise. The three-storey guesthouse is equipped with an elevator, a thoughtful convenience for guests with heavy luggage or those who may find climbing stairs challenging. Dinner, lovingly cooked by the family, was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that reflected both their hospitality and culinary skill. Every meal felt homely and satisfying. We only wish we had taken more and better photographs of the guesthouse. Without a doubt, this is one place we will return to. As for the enchanting Fanjing Mountain itself, the owner drove us to the scenic area entrance. He even offered to pick us up later, but we chose to walk back instead, enjoying the cool climate. Fanjing Mountain is magical in its own right. The steep cable car ride to the summit, which takes over 20 minutes, was an experience in itself, offering breathtaking views of the mountain ranges stretching endlessly around us. At the top stands the age-old Buddhist temple, serene and awe-inspiring, perfectly harmonising with its natural surroundings. We loved the guesthouse, we are very grateful to Mr. Zhang and his family for their kindness, and deeply thankful for the unforgettable experience at Fanjing Mountain. It was the perfect ending to a remarkable journey.

Our stay at Longting Courtyard was truly the biggest highlight of our Fanjingshan trip! We stayed in the Mu Xun Suite, and the room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable mattress and excellent amenities. It was quiet and cozy for a good night's sleep! ❤️ What deserves the most praise are the owners. The husband and wife are incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and genuinely kind. Even before we arrived, they actively helped us secure Fanjingshan entrance tickets and shared a detailed guide for climbing the mountain, explaining what to watch out for and how to plan our route. They also provided shuttle service, saving us a lot of hassle with transportation. They patiently answered any questions we had along the way, always genuine and approachable, and replied to WeChat messages instantly. Since the guesthouse is located right inside the scenic area, we were among the first group to go up the mountain and captured some truly stunning photos! Our entire experience was fantastic. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Fanjingshan; I'll definitely stay here again next time!!!!!

A hidden gem! This resort type of hotel is so rare in the area. We opted for this hotel for the gorgeous courtyard type of layout. The hotel deserves the attention and my lengthy review as the architect/ designer has such an exquisite taste which shows off in the smallest details. The select of burl wood trims with marble patterns, stylish lighting fixtures… Rooms are spacious and full of technology. Bathroom with heat floor and even ironized glass which offers instant privacy with a click of a button. This hotel alone is worth couple nights of stay where one could plan a getaway from the city life and fully immerse themselves in the hotel’s garden trails. This hotel is great for tourists who prioritize monetary value as It’s essentially a five star luxury resort for a fraction of the price. However, for those who enjoy a slower pace and a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy tourisy area it offers more. This hotel had become an integral part of my spiritual retreat escaping city and exploring the FANJING mountain area. The environment and sanitation are first-class. I had a very happy stay this time. The price of this location is also very good. There are also food nearby. The house is exquisite and fully equipped. The layout and decoration of the entire room reveal the hotel's design care and skill!

Welcome fruit and snacks as well as a mountaineering gift bag are provided when you check in. , compared with the environment and facilities, the price is very good. There is a business downstairs, which is very convenient for eating. What is particularly worth mentioning is the attentive and attentive reception at the hotel's front desk. It feels like a five-star hotel butler. It is recommended to stay here when visiting Fanjing Mountain. The price/performance ratio is excellent.

The room is clean and sanitary, the facilities are complete, and the things are neatly arranged. It is convenient to eat and go shopping next to the hotel. The front desk sister is very easy-going. It is worth recommending whether you are on a business trip or a self-driving tour

The hotel itself is great, amazing location and amazing room, like really fancy looking and great for the paid price, they give two towels, toiletries and loads of extra. I just feel like they made a super fancy room but the building is really fatiscent, Therese an empty and rotten pool at the entrance, seem good so a little fix could make the guest even more welcome, same for hot water, was just warm both the day I stayed lad didn’t complain but I bet people would be happy to pay even more for such a nice place with some extra services that are basically already there

The hillside guesthouse felt like a warm welcome home after a long, tiring day at work. Even before arriving, the owner contacted me to remind me to buy tickets, offering plenty of advice and hiking tips, along with transportation information. There was no need to plan anything here; everything was taken care of – food, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment. Upon arrival, the housekeeper warmly helped with our luggage, and the owner greeted us enthusiastically, like old friends even though we'd never met before. After check-in, we were immediately offered sparkling water, iced coffee, and welcome fruit. The air conditioning was already on, and the room was clean and hygienic, with a small courtyard for easy access. Breakfast wasn't as lavish as a hotel meal, but it was delicious: minced meat rice noodles, fried eggs, steamed corn bread, steamed corn, and millet cakes – the taste was unlike anything you'd find in a pre-made meal. They even packed up the leftovers for us to take hiking. After breakfast, the owner drove us to the scenic area in his Porsche. The scenic area was only 1 kilometer from the guesthouse, but he insisted on driving us there, saying parking would be inconvenient late at night. He also offered to pick us up on the way back, but we took a taxi – very convenient indeed. What surprised me most when we returned to the guesthouse after our hike was the foot bath tub they had provided. We sat in the pavilion, sipping tea and soaking our feet – it was incredibly relaxing. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to my friends. Goodbye!
