The most important thing is that the local day trip will pick up guests directly at this hotel. Very convenient. You must take a taxi to travel in Miyako. It costs about 1,400 yen to take a taxi to Miyako Airport, which is about 4 kilometers. The hotel breakfast is very good, rich and delicious, and you can eat a lot. Very good.

The service was polite, the room was clean and very nice. I was happy that the amenities were Diptyque! It was a little disappointing that we had to queue for breakfast, but I guess that can't be helped💦

Watermark Hotel is close to the beach, but there are reefs making it difficult to swim. It's also close to the airport, but in a remote location. There are no restaurants nearby, but the hotel has one; the prices are reasonable. Watermark Hotel is clean and comfortable with a beautiful sea view. At low tide, the seabed and reefs are exposed, creating a unique landscape. For consecutive stays, guests don't need to enter the room; just inform the front desk. For Shimojima Island, where staff are limited, I think it's unnecessary to clean the rooms; just collect trash and change towels using a magnetic sign in both Chinese and English. A full cleaning can be done on the third day. Welcome drinks and coffee are provided and can be taken back to the room, which is a big plus.

The hotel is in a good location to explore several regions of the island. Coffee is great and the breakfast options were worth it. The room is spacious and very quiet. The team was friendly and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. The car we rented broke and they even helped us get the car working again. I took a taxi from the airport. The Smile Hotel was so well-known that even the driver knew about it. There are no photos of the hotel interior. Located in the bar district, it's convenient for arriving in the evening, allowing you to enjoy Okinawan cuisine and leave your luggage there. The PIN code is provided in advance, allowing you to open and close the door.

After seeing a recommendation from a YouTuber, I decided to stay at this hotel on the last day of my trip. Of course, there are many attractive restaurants around the hotel, making the location convenient for finding a great choice. Furthermore, there was a souvenir shop nearby, which was very helpful as I was able to successfully purchase souvenirs I had forgotten to buy on my last day. Because it's located in the city center, parking was charged, but the convenience and satisfaction outweighed that.

The transportation is convenient, there is a bus to and from the airport nearby. There is a whole family within a 3-minute walk. There are many small shops to eat next to. There is a supermarket 10 minutes' walk away, with sashimi and cooked food abundant and cheap. As a chain hotel, the facilities are excellent. For diving enthusiasts, there is a washing area, and the cleaning of wet clothes and equipment is very convenient.

Having stayed in both a Japanese-style room without a private bathroom and a new wing room with a private bathroom, I felt there wasn't much difference. Going to the public bath for washing up was actually quite convenient. Like I said, lower your expectations.
