Jufa Hotel Bregenz

Situated in a historic industrial building complex, Hotel Jufa has a special character. Those who love big rooms with very high ceilings will feel at home here. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom new with a pleasant big shower. Staff was very friendly and gave attention to details. The breakfast buffet had lots of choice of fresh food. The hotel is located near the lake and the main station. Everything is within walking distance.

I really enjoyed my stay in Jufa Hotel Bregenz. The room was really comfortable and clean, a good size bathroom too. The staff were very friendly and had very good English compared to my very dodgy but enthusiastic German. Breakfast was ideal - buffet style with cereal, bread, pastries and hot food. Location was perfect for me as I was running in the 3 country marathon and the finish line was just across the road in the stadium. It was also only a short walk into the town centre.

The room and bathroom were basic but clean. I did miss an electrical outlet at the bedside. There is only a usb outlet hidden in the night light. The light in the main/dining area downstairs in the evening is incredibly harsh and unfriendly. Needless to say it doesn’t feel warm and cozy. We ordered our drinks and took them up to the room. The village of Bregenz is dead on Sundays. No one out and not a single restaurant was entertaining guests or even open. We ended up having a (great!) Döner wrap at a little Turkish cafe around the corner. The town itself also has a massive collection of buildings that reminded us of the grey and grim buildings of east Berlin in the 60s. Not picturesque at all. The one great feature is the lake so we walked around there for a few hours. All in all not a town I feel I’d want to return to, but as a passing through guest this was a fine hotel to stay.

This hotel is close to the Bodensee cycle path but a bit of a walk from town centre. The room was very large and somewhat clean. There were some marks on the sofa and on the floor. The bathroom was clean and I have to say the breakfast was good. My issue with this hotel was the delayed check in. I’d check in is available from 15:00h then the rooms should be ready. We arrived a bit early and the reception very kindly gave us passes to the swimming nearby. This was very good and much appreciated however when we returned our room was still not ready. We waited in the bar area and it will took a long time for the room to be ready and even then I had to ask again as even when it was ready no one came to tell me

We enjoyed our short trip to Bregenz on the way back from our skiing trip. The location of the hotel is very good. Bregenz is a nice place and the hotel is nice too. Easy checkin and tasty breakfast is a big plus. I would recommed this hotel for a enjoyable stay in Bregenz.

My husband and I stayed here (visiting from Texas) on our roadtrip from Switzerland to Germany. We bought tickets to the Bregenz festival and this location could not have been more perfect. It took us MAYBE 5 minutes to walk to the festival location. If you are looking to get to the busier shopping and cafe area, I might recommend staying somewhere farther NE, but for what we needed this was perfect. The breakfast was good quality, classic scrambled eggs with chives, lots of prociutto and cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, several bread options (the croissants ran out about an hour before the end of breakfast), bacon and a delicious breakfast sausage, cereal, etc. The breakfast was extremely busy, it could have been due to the festival goers considering a lot of people checked out after breakfast like we did. But the hotel employees did a solid job of keeping up with replenishing everything other than croissants. The room was very large as far as square footage and had very tall ceilings. We are very used to small hotels in Europe, but this might have been one of the largest rooms we've stayed in anywhere. The windows open to let fresh air in, but heads up that the blackout curtains were not truly blackout. All in all, this was a great choice and great value for us festival goers.
