The hotel is in a good location, next to a large park and has its own free underground garage. Housekeeping and front desk service were very good. However, after checking in, I found that many rooms on the floor I stayed in were being renovated, and there was no warning before booking. If I had known this, I would not have booked it! Although I lived in a room at the end of the corridor, there was still a strong smell of decoration. I am very sensitive to smells and felt very uncomfortable. After staying there for one night, I started to have rhinitis in the morning, with a runny nose and sneezing. There were ants in the breakfast restaurant and the room. The pillows in the room were very flat and uncomfortable.

We were greeted warmly upon arrival and were able to check into our room before 3 p.m. The instructions were so rapid-fire that I couldn't really take it all in. The room was nice, spacious and clean, but much too warm, and the air conditioning couldn't be controlled. The bed was very comfortable; no back pain. There was no minibar in the room, but there is a drinks machine at reception; it felt like I was in a youth hostel. Breakfast was great, and the staff were very friendly. There is still room for improvement in terms of hygiene; for example, a cloth was used to wipe several tables and then re-set them. The placemats were only wiped thoroughly. In times of Corona, I would have expected a bit more. The prices in the bar were high, and the staff were overwhelmed by the number of guests. Long waits for drinks. Ashtrays outside were piled high with cigarette butts, and empty cups had been left on the table all day.
Since we were out and about most of the time, everything was okay overall. I would have liked an information folder in the room so I could look everything up again in peace, e.g. Regarding the spa area, perhaps a city map is helpful.
I've stayed at the Maritim several times in other cities in the past, but I found everything a bit more economical here, while other hotel chains maintain their standards.
All in all, it was okay, but I wouldn't go back for that price.
