There was construction noise not only during the day, but also throughout the night. The neighbors were hitting walls, spying on me and listening into everything I was doing. Will not stay there ever again.

Good location in centre of town, but very average for price. Dingy reception area and average staff. Two bedroomed Apartment was very small and balconies were even smaller with no view except for backs of adjoining buildings. There were only two of us but had there been two couples we could not have got 4 chairs on balcony! Or even 4 chairs around a small circular table. No bedside clock in bedroom, no tissues and some of shelves in kitchen you would need a step ladder to reach things! Personally I think it was over priced for what it was.

Has potential to be a good place to stay but our room was not clean (carpet not nice at all, kitchen area poorly cleaned, all felt a bit old and dated). Felt very cramped in the room - too much furniture and not enough space. Kitchen was not well equipped - old, badly scratched frypans and pots that we could not use. Internet didn't work at all at the higher levels but they didn't tell us that when we checked in and so after about 5 minutes of trying to get the internet to work, we rang down to reception and they immediately said oh yes the internet doesn't work up that high, come down and get a dongle. It would have been much easier to have been upfront about it at the time and offered the dongle then and there. If you wanted any fresh air by opening the balcony doors, it was so, so noisy - and the noise was all the time. Road noise but also the aircon units running at all the surrounding buildings. Shame about the pool too - very small and pretty much always in the shade and the sauna never got very hot at all. In addition, we rang the hotel ahead of time to seek assistance in terms of accommodating a disability but they were not prepared to do anything. Fortunately there was one staff member who kindly tried to help us after we had been there 3 nights. Definitely not an inclusive accommodation provider.

Cleanliness and hygiene are not a priority. Bench tops in the room have a thick layer of dust covering them indicating they haven’t been cleaned in some time. Privacy is severely lacking in the apartment living area, which only provides sheer curtains. From a distance there’s much further clarity than the photo from the balcony. Photos definitely do not do these justice. An elevator was broken (these things happen that’s fine) but meant often there were lineups, today we waited almost 10 mins. This elevator has been broken since we arrived and was still not fixed when we left 4 days later. It’s also a nice idea to have the weekly forecast in the elevator, however there was no attention to detail. For reference, see photo attached (Thursday was the 6th, and there’s two 10th’s). Further more to the attention to detail, the card left on the table upon check in was for a different guest. Also considering government regulations and the current situation, they let guests walk around freely without masks with no reprimands or reminders from staff, and disregard social distancing. Before checking in they called twice to confirm details. These details were confirmed over the phone. Upon checking in they hadn’t taken down any of the details they had called us to request. Considering the cost compared to other accomodation in the same area we expected a lot more. In the week prior to our stay at Mantra we also stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the same street; this apartment was flawless and $80 cheaper per night. In the future we will definitely not be going to any Mantra owned hotels if this is their standard of accomodation.

Stayed here for work and would have been very disappointed if I'd paid for this accommodation myself. The location is good and there are doors/ balcony which mean the room can be ventilated but that's about where the positives end. Firstly, if you're driving here and you're on your own, you need to park out the front to be able to check in, there's no loading space in their carpark driveway like other places. This would be a big pain if the street parking was full. Check in staff initially seemed a bit rude but were ok in general. Bit confusing with their instructions about how to check out with the car because you need to drop the garage tag off. The rooms were ok size but were not clean or maintained to an acceptable standard at all. There were hairs all over the bathroom walls, drops of something still on the kitchen bench and desk in the bedroom, rubbish in the sink and a disgusting kettle. I had to stand on the bed to wipe the dust off the fan so I could turn it on and not get showered with dust. I had issues with the door not locking (still an old school lock and key) so needed to call reception but the phone didn't work, I also used the hair dryer which, when I looked inside looked as though it was about to catch fire. Overall, really disappointed with the stay. The above issues shouldn't occur if management has their finger on the pulse of the general operations.

Great location, within walking distance to shops and riverstage. Easy check-in process with lovely reception staff. Parking was a great addition to a great stay. Also beds were very comfy, we booked a 1 bedroom apartment and the room was modern, fresh and spacious. The pool was clean and loved it.

Great location and lovely reception team but the room had issues with cleaning. Dirty bed sheets and the cleaners were not attentive with toilet paper and tissues. When I reported the issue they said the cleaner would change the bed sheets and replenish the toilet paper and tissues but this didn't happen. After returning late after a wedding I could not request for more until the morning after. Would not come back
