Beautiful location with excellent restaurants within walking distance. The Ticino Pass allowed unlimited travel on the local buses. Made it very easy to get around. Visited mountain villages with incredible scenery. Also enjoyed the Ascona jazz festival.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable and immaculate room. Stunning view of the lake from the hotel bar terrace. Would definitely go back to this hotel.

...but I'll try: Breathtaking. Otherworldly. Exclusive. Sybaritic. Attention to detail, kind and impeccable service, doors like bulkheads and solid as the wall safe in the room, ship-shape fittings and ambience, breakfasts fit for a king - or an admiral, if you will. All of this for the fortunate few who discover (and gain entrée) to this unique haven directly on Lago Maggiore. Truly unforgettable.
