Cheery staff, good food but very tired furnishings and carpets. Room 4 needs a new mattress, it was lumpy and uncomfortable

A very clean room and bathroom with a comfortable large bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

A real gem. Our room was spoftless with a wonderful old world feed not over modernised or lacking in character but comfortable. The staff were courteous and we were met in the morning after a great nights sleep in a comfy bed by a delicious cooked breakfast with toast and orange juice all for 12.50 each. All together a wonderful experience, thankyou,we will be back!!

Simply beautiful. Main street nicely decorated for Christmas! Feels like a fairytale village. Enjoyed every minute while there.

Beware there appeared to be three tariffs for drinks Locals CAMRA members Everyone else A round of drinks was expensive compared to other pubs in town

Don’t go there if you just want a drink they said they were too busy to serve us unless we sat outside (on a wet November night) - if they think they are a restaurant they are not - it looks like a pub - we have previously enjoyed having a drink there but not again - thought pubs and restaurants are struggling for business - even the group of people who we were talking to at the bar couldn’t believe that we weren’t served a drink as they claimed that they were too busy to- there was no one else at the bar

Lovely stay good food friendly staff could not ask for more

Bar was well stocked and the evening meal was good. We did not have breakfast as continental breakfast was charged the same as cooked full english breakfast.

We enjoyed staying here it’s a working pub environment, no airs or graces , mix with the locals as well as the tourists, room was fine , quiet at night , food was good , we enjoyed our stay
