Stayed here 4 nights as a base to sightsee Broken Hill. The bar & Restaurant we're awesome, friendly staff & great food, excellent value for money, big meals that hit the spot. Great pub atmosphere with community fire pit some nights. Can highly recommend.

We had 4 powered sites booked for 3 nights. During our stay we had constant power outages. All 4 of us along with many others in the park lost everything out of our fridge and freezer over multiple the days and with the heat during our stay not having our air-conditioning throughout the night was extremely uncomfortable. This made our stay not enjoyableat all. We also have a 9 month old baby who was unwell at the time and one of us on a sleep machine that was not able to be used. The staff that were on duty at the time were extremely helpful and apologetic however at no point was there any contact from management regarding the power issues to any of us staying in the park and since then I have been reading many comments on social media regarding the same issue that have been recurring for months. Considering all the above and the fact that we paid for a powered site x 4 and had no power for the majority of our stay we would expect some sort of communication and compensation for the inconvenience during our stay with you.

This is a welcoming place to park yourself. You are about 11km from town and that’s the benefit, it’s quiet, it has grass, it has flat good sized sites, toilets are clean and you have access to a cafe, bar and restaurant. We have only encountered friendly and hospitable staff which makes the place work. They also have a communal fire of an evening to enjoy other travellers company if you choose. Broken Hill is really just that place you come to for supply’s and services you cannot get in smaller towns, coming to the Broken Hill Outback Resort makes that stay worthwhile. Bypass those crammed parks in and around town … you will be pleased you do make the effort to come out of town just that little bit.

Nice place, lots of promise but they need to sort out their power issues properly. Limited mains supply and a dodgy generator are a long way from unfixable in this day and age. As it's not the first time, going by past reviews, it's definitely a management issue. The owner and manager headed away and left bacpacker staff to sort out upset campers. I feel sorry for them as they were great keeping things going as best they could. Would we stay again? Not unless the power issues are resolved properly.

Great drive through caravan sites for an overnight stop $38 and 10klms out of Broken Hill. Stunning new amenities. The great food at the Hotel was so delicious and reasonable. The Pork Ribs were the best i have tasted in years. Nice Oasis on a very hot 40’ spot.

After reading numerous reviews about problems with the power supply, I nearly didn't book, but I am glad I ignored them as my stay was excellent. I was warmly welcomed in the Mt. Gipps Hotel, which is used for reception and also features a bar and restaurant. The accommodation is in a long wing a quick walk through the property. My room was spacious and well equipped. It had outdoor seating at the front door and a large private balcony at the back featuring a bbq. Walking into the room I was mesmerized by the view, particularly from the bath. The bathroom was modern and featured a spa bath, but it needs a handrail, as I noticed the towel rail was loose because it looked like someone had tried to steady themselves getting out of the bath. The room had a few scuffs and a stain on the carpet, but otherwise it was very clean and well maintained. The restaurant was sp****ly furnished (maybe a throwback to Covid), but my hamburger was delicious. There is also a lovely verandah to dine and drink on. I loved staying in the outback and highly recommend the Broken Hill Outback Resort.

My husband and I spent two nights on 2 and 3 Jan 2024. Our unit was fantastic! Excellent value for money, given we only paid $212.50 for the two nights. The room was spacious, with a kitchenette to allow us to cater for ourselves, and large bathroom facility. There's also an outdoor verandah area which would have been nice to use, but it was too hot. Our only gripe was to do with the restaurant. The food was great (we had pizzas which were very nice), and ordered 2 x glasses of wine; unfortunately the wine was very close to being undrinkable due to the fact it was warm. Maybe it would be better to cellar your red wines (especially the bottles for sale on the shelf) in an appropriate wine fridge? Had this been the case, we would have paid the $45 for a bottle but didn't want to risk it as the bottles were obviously sitting out in an area prone to heat changes. Other than that, we would happily stay there again, maybe camp next time (at a cooler time of year!).

Best place to stay in Broken Hill. We stayed in one of the cabins and the views from that were the best you can expect. Very comfortable place to stay with family. Location is also very convenient, only few km from Broken Hill and in the vicinity of Stephens Creek Reservoir Picnic area (which is a bonus)
