Property Description
IMPORTANT : LOW CLEARANCE VEHICLES ARE NOT RECOMMENDED. Access to and from the home consists of a rough, gravel road with several low water crossings. If your pulling a trailer you will need 4wheel drive. Also, cell phone signal is spotty, depending on your carrier. We do have WiFi in the home and WiFi calling has been working well. Awake, refreshed, and ready for a day of exploring, 4x4’ing, hiking, or just relaxing in this tucked away, eclectic mix of rustic charm. Located in the heart of the Missouri Ozarks, surrounded by natural beauty and breathtaking views, Buck Creek Lodge will provide visitors of all ages with an unforgettable adventure. In the early 1980’s Buck Creek Lodge was converted from a barn into a house that served as a home for multiple generations of families. After a very extensive restoration was completed in 2021 this 2-story home became Buck Creek Lodge. The lodge provides 4 beds, and a sleeper sofa. There are two living areas, laundry facilities, a full kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, and almost endless outdoor area of exploration. Connected on three sides to the Mark Twain National Forest this location provides guests with hiking trails, horse trails, natural rock climbing, and whatever else the wandering mind desires.About pets:Pets allowed: limit 8 total.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking allowed: in designated areas.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 18.About events:Events allowed: family gatherings, birthday parties, weddings.Maximum event attendees: 99.

The home is an amazing home! Decorated very well. But overall our favorite experiences at this home was our interactions with Ben. He’s the sweetest man! And took my husband down to the pond to show him where to fish and boy he was right there were TONS of fish in the pond. This was one of our favorite stays! 8 nights was not long enough.

Peace and quiet. Was such a peaceful place to stay. Some great hiking right on the property. Ben was a great tour guide and let us know where to go hike. Was a nice touch to have a few groceries already there like milk, bread, eggs, and s’more supplies.

Will stay here again! We recently stayed here after Christmas and unfortunately, had to return home 9 hours away after only one night because of an emergency with our daughter. They were very understanding and refunded most of our money. The place was so amazing and there were lots of little extras like milk, eggs, bread, sandwich supplies in the refrigerator and fresh baked molasses cookies. Was very glad that we brought my husband’s four-wheel-drive truck because of the road into the property. We have rescheduled to go back in the spring. I can’t wait to go back!

Heaven on Earth!! I really struggled with giving this place 5 stars…only because if people realize how much of a gem this location is, it will be completely booked and we definitely plan on coming back!! Ben was so helpful and just a pure delight. We honestly can’t wait to come back!! 10 out 10 highly recommend!!

Great getaway Very remote, if you’re looking for peace and nature this is the place. Host were more than considerate by leaving bare essentials food and snacks for the family. Ive never had that anywhere else. They were easy to contact and replied almost instantly everytime. The lodge has a great setup and just so remote nobody wanted to leave. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. Will be staying again if im in the area. Very highly recommend.

We’re ready to go back! The cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed and lots of things we didn’t know we needed, but we used. It is a short hike across the property into Mark Twain national forest, and a great bouldering spot at turtlehead rock. The beds were super comfortable, and the setting was beautiful and peaceful. The location, accommodations, thoughtful details, and friendliness and accessibility of the hosts made the stay amazing. We’ll definitely be back!
