Hilton Budapest

We stayed at the Hilton Budapest in early July. We had booked a King Danube River Suite / Corner Suite (70 m²) for two nights, but at check-in, we were informed that the hotel had upgraded us to the Presidential Suite with Danube River View (160 m²)! This is the only room of its kind in the entire hotel! The Presidential Suite was absolutely incredible! The room also had a welcome gift from the hotel: a bottle of red wine and two handmade chocolates. We have often favored Hilton hotels for over 25 years, but upgrades have been rare. Hilton Budapest is quite large (322 rooms) and boasts a prime central location on the Buda side of Budapest, offering stunning views of the Danube River and other landmarks on the Pest side of the city. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly. The Executive Club Lounge offers a good selection of alcoholic beverages, along with a wide assortment of food and drinks. The food selection can vary, unfortunately, from excellent to quite lackluster. The service, however, is consistently top-notch. In summary: The hotel is centrally located, close to all major attractions. It offers excellent service and cleanliness, as well as fantastic bedding and mesmerizing views of the Danube and Parliament from the window! There are many great places to walk around the hotel, and you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Our immense gratitude goes to the hotel management for the superb service, attention to detail, and the organization of flawless operations, cleanliness, and comfort. It's clear that the management genuinely cares about their guests and puts their heart into their work! Special thanks to the General Manager, Hajnalka Hegedüs, for her efforts and passion, which allow guests to enjoy such impeccable luxury service! This is a hotel we'd love to return to, where you always feel like a valued guest. Hilton Budapest definitely deserves all five stars it has; we can undoubtedly recommend it for a stay and for visiting the city of Budapest! Suggestion: Add background music to the Executive Lounge.

A wonderful hotel in the historic center. The room offered a magnificent view from the window. Everything you could possibly need was provided. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the housekeeping was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast; there were many delicious dishes and high-quality products. I especially loved the salmon. It was beyond all praise. This is a very respectable hotel, and everything was top-notch. The main advantage, of course, is its location. We felt like we were living in a fairy tale. Thank you so much. We highly recommend it to everyone.

First off, the room had a damp, musty smell, and the pillows reeked. I had to use a towel to cover them because the stench was so bad, it would transfer to you if you were exposed for too long. I'm not sure if the hotel has an issue with their laundry process or what. Then, the water coming out of the bathtub was yellow. I tried letting it run for a while, and it went from dark yellow to light yellow, but it never cleared up. I suspect the pipes are severely rusted because there were tiny specks of sediment at the bottom of the tub.

Stayed here again, and the junior suite this time had a much better view and more space than the standard king room I had before – a pleasant surprise! The best part is being able to visit Fisherman's Bastion in the morning before it gets crowded, totally avoiding the rush.

The duplex family room was perfect! It was very spacious, not cramped at all, and even had a small kitchen. The hotel's location was absolutely amazing too – only a three-minute walk to Fisherman's Bastion, which was super convenient for taking photos when it wasn't crowded. The breakfast was also excellent with a great variety.

The view from the window is absolutely stunning and totally worth it! Certain room types offer direct views of Fisherman's Bastion and the Parliament Building. The room itself is spacious and very clean, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!

Great location! It's just a 2-minute walk to Fisherman's Bastion, and right next to Buda Castle and Matthias Church. However, there aren't many dining options nearby. The hotel breakfast was very disappointing with hardly anything to eat, which definitely doesn't match the Hilton brand's star rating. The most frustrating thing was that even though I pre-paid, they still put a pre-authorization hold on my card, and the charge won't be released for several weeks.

The views are absolutely unbeatable, with direct sightlines to Fisherman's Bastion and the Parliament Building, beautiful both day and night. The service was also good, and my deposit was refunded the same day. However, the room facilities were quite basic.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right by Fisherman's Bastion. The breakfast spread was also quite good. However, since I booked through Trip.com, I wasn't able to enjoy the Gold membership benefits. My upgraded room only had a view of trees, nothing else.
