This former "palace" has two buildings, the original and a newer structure. We stayed at the newer building. Our suite was large and modern. It's a little sp****, more Aman than FS. The breakfast was a small buffet and a la carte orders. You can get almost anything. My first omelet, caramelized onions and mushrooms, was perfect. Subsequent orders were not as good. Service is attentive. Had lunch twice at the place next to the bar and it was excellent. Best empanadas we had on a the trip, and we had many. Service here was great as well. Dinner was ok. The menu is very similar to Elena at the FS and I thought Elena was better. Room for improvement is the front desk. Not good. We stayed twice, coming into Argentina and one night flying out. On the first check in we were not told where the breakfast was served (a place in each building serves breakfast). We were not told how to get from one building to the other (underground passageway). Later when we asked whether we could have the included breakfast at either restaurant they said no. Finally upon our first check out we were not told that there was a procedure to get a credit for the VAT. (Other hotels deduct the VAT automatically when you pay with a foreign cc). We realized all this on our second stay. That clerk did explain that breakfast was included in either restaurant and when we checked out he told us about the VAT procedure. Still trying to get a credit for the first VAT.
