A review is in the eye of the beholder of course. Not my cup of tea but it may be yours. Entrance to the Lodge is through a livestock market, specialising in sheep breeds, naturally. The room was wholly utilitarian, nothing decorative or stylish evident. The bedding was fresh and clean. Some coat hooks on doors would have been helpful, as would a bit more water pressure for the shower. Breakfast was good quality and freshly cooked. A curious character of a man runs the place, large in stature and often verging on offensive banter. A Maitre'd, certainly not. If you're looking for a Welsh Agricultural version of Fawlty Towers, look no further, you're in for a treat, especially if you can view everything through an ironic lens. Unfortunately, on the day, I was not. 'Two choices for breakfast. You have it or you don't!' I'm chuckling now, so maybe I was just having an off day.
