Buffalo Safari Lodge

We traveled from America to go on safari and had the absolute pleasure of staying multiple nights at Buffalo Safari Lodge. I cannot explain in words how well we were treated and the care they took of us. The infinity pool was perfect for lounging after a game drive. The food was not just delicious, but also presented beautifully. There were always multiple food choose, and the portions were just too much. The room was very private and situated on a perfectly cared for campus. The room was very clean, and they really took care of all the details (including top sheets!). You have 24 hour electricity so there's no issues charging and plenty of electrical receptacles near the bed. Also on demand got water so you'll not run out of you all enjoy a long shower. This is the best we have ever been treated at any resort. The staff and especially Alfred took perfect care of us. It was our 30th anniversary and they treated us to a special dinner poolside. They decorated the table with local flowers, the details were so perfect! The lounge, restaurant and pool have Wi-Fi and we did get 4g service in our room. Your missing out of you don't get a chance to stay here. Oh by the way did I mention they also have wildlife you can see from the pool area. And there is a magnificent elephant that stopped by every morning and evening!

I was here for 3 days with my parents and we really had a really amazing stay. Besides the luxurious cottage and treatment, all the staff people were very warm and welcoming, from kitchen to security to the host. They all truly care about the quality of your stay. Also, an extra tip is to go with Hillary and Henry to do a bush walk just outside the lodge towards the river bank, where we saw hippos, elephants, buffalo’s and many birds from close and a beautiful scenery! So to conclude, it’s really worth your money and they make very sure fornuis to have a wonderful stay!

Spacious cottages and excellent service. Our waiter Godard was superb! If you love wild animals, you will be able to see warthogs and antilopes from the pool. In the lodge itself you might run into John the Elephant and mongoose. The wildlife experience at the lodge is really special. While the food was alright, it could be improved somewhat (especially the breakfast buffet, and overall less salt). Lastly, the boat tour at the nearby Kazinga channel was incredible with loads of elephants, hippos, birds and buffaloes.

So. Incredible Africa trip. Seeing animals in the wild. What's on my mind is: Will we get to see hippos? Will we find the leopard? That elephant on the side of the road was so funny, shaking his trunk at passing cars. We're already having fun, then we stay at Buffalo Safari Lodge. We arrive in the safari vehicle and they're like, Let us take care of you! Here is a hot towel for your dusty face! So nice. Then they're like, btw after dark and before sunrise (safari trips start early) we have to escort you from your room to the dining room for safety. And I'm thinking ... from what? Well, that elephant that came to the door of our room in the middle of the night and woke up my husband (of all nights for me to sleep soundly)! Or from the ACTUAL LION that was prowling around the lodge in the wee hours of the morning, and lounged at the poolside before heading back to the bush. So thank you for the security detail! Out-of-this-world place. And if it weren't already cool enough, we happened to have our 29th anniversary the while we were there. I briefly mentioned it to our waiter, Alfred. The next night we were dumbfounded by a surprise at dinner. It must have taken the hotel staff sooo long to arrange the hundreds of fresh flower petals into "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY 29!" And there was a heart with more petals. And a little delicious cake! Our 18 year old son was with us and even he was blown away (and he tries not to be impressed by adult things too often if you know what I mean). I will never ever forget this place, or this staff, or the adventure and wonder of the kindness of humans we experienced at Buffalo Lodge.

I went to this hotel 2x, once in 2022 and once in 2024. The staff is very friendly, the service is excellent, and the rooms are large, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The view from the pool is amazing, looking out over passing elephants, pumbas, buffalos etc. It has been a real treat to stay here. Definitely a place to come back to and highly recommendable for anyone who looks for a place stay when visiting Queen.

Awesome lodge! I would definitely recommend it to everyone visiting Uganda and Queen Elizabeth area. The lodge is beautiful with stunning views and an infinity pool that’s overlooking the wild life. We saw a family of elephants pass and feed on the plants right next to us it was really nice. The staff is professional and super trained, Godard our waiter was great and so sweet, he had our names memorized. The security guys were really friendly and punctual to pick us up from/to our rooms as we can’t walk alone without them after 7pm since some wild animals can be roaming around! We stayed in Búffalo Safari for 2 nights it was really special! Best place we stayed in Uganda so far!

Everything was amazing, and the staff is so kind and helful. I loved the house and we were able to see elephants. The staff helped us spot them. The security stand was also really nice and told us what animals were making the sounds. I haven't seen a better staff anywhere in the world, take care of them!

Amazing place to stay with wild life coming into the hotel grounds …. The elephant came right up to my room …. Staff all wonderful and very helpful …. Food was very high standard and delicious with a good selection …. Would definitely stay again and recommend anyone to stay ….. thank you all for a great visit

Amazing views, food and friendly staff. Right in the park with a cacophony of wild sounds at night. We did a nature walk with Hilary right on site…wow! Seeing the hippos, birds, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, and other wildlife was a delight. Definitely ask for him when you come!
