Stayed here March 2025 for my "big Birthday" in the cottages with the family (6,7 & 8, at the back of the property). It's always been a place we love to visit however we haven't been for a couple of years. The upgrades were obvious, new curtains, blinds, slider door and flyscreens all of a high quality. The property was immaculately clean, even the rubbish bins outside smelt wonderful ! The accommodation is self catering but everything you can think of for preparing meals is provided in the kitchen including some useful extras like kitchen roll, spray oil, starter breakfast with milk and orange juice and of course a BBQ on the verandah. The property is located on Carters Road very close to the Margaret River Township however it is on a peaceful rural block surrounded by kangaroos, beautiful little birds and cows. It is our favourite place to stay when we can. Thanks Ange for my little birthday surprise. We will be back !

What a beautiful find! This place is like something dreams are made of. The cottages are beautiful and come with everything you could need for a stay including fully equipped kitchens. There is a laundry on site and parking outside your cottage. There are kangaroos everywhere casually relaxing outside the cottages so you can watch them out of the window. This really is stunning!

I came from overseas to visit WA in order to explore its Nature and Wildlife as much as my given time allowed it. I did a lot of investigations ahead of my trip to get the most of it - and so I luckily found Brussels Bushland Cottages. The reviews and pictures spoke for themselves, and the reality is even better. Located a short 5 min. drive from busy Margaret River, you get a real Bushland feeling - the check-in is a easy self-service, just pick your key from the Board at the office with your name on it. The cottage was easy to find, with lots of parking space around. The cottage was very spacious and modern equipped, with huge livingroom with sofa, aircon and even a TV (which I never used) and fireplace. The Kitchen was also fully equipped, the fridge was huge. There was a microwave also, of course... the bathroom shower was a pleasure to use, spotless clean and very modern, you find also toiletries, the smell of your soap and shampoo was awesome . There was a motion triggered soft LED light in the bathroom that helps during nightly visits. But my personal highlight was the bedroom: How nice did that look and how comfortable was this sleep?! Outdoor furnitures on the covered porch just sum up the overall superb picture of the Cottages. Each cottage has private WIFI signal, if you need it. The interested observer might spot a little box on a nearby tree - this is not for birds, but for possums. "Mine" was unluckily uninhabited that time. There are plenty of well marked bushwalks you can chose from, so you never get bored. I came here especially for spotlighting nocturnal creatures in the dark, therefore I brought my thermal vision, which was a really big help, since it helped me spotting wildlife even behind branches/leafs. Highlights were the local Western Ringtail possums, tawny frogmouth, several frogs, and during the daytime you will encounter roos, lizards and birdlife in abundance. Overall I enjoyed my two days there very much - so much that I asked for a longer stay, but it was totally booked out and new guests already on their way. Next time! Thanks Ange for answering all my questions and feedback, I hope we meet again in the future!

Absolutely loved our time here at Bushland Cottages. So quiet and tranquil with the odd kangaroo passing by. The cottage was finished to a high standard and was very well equipped. The Chromecast facility and laundry came in use too ! We would recommend this place and would stay again ! Lastly, well located to explore the Margaret River Region.

We were very much missing the bushland home we'd lived in in northern New South Wales for many years. When we were planning our trip to Margaret River and discovered these cottages were on a Land for Wildlife property our choice of somewhere to stay was in no doubt. While all the cottages were occupied during our stay there was no noise from other visitors, all the cottages were surrounded by trees and shrubs so privacy was assured. The decor was relaxing. The beds very comfortable and the warmth from the air conditioner very welcome as we were there in mid-winter. A wood-burning fire was also available. Definitely back again!

The cottages are absolutely excellent. Well appointed, lovely linen, excellent kitchen facilities and equipment and even a washing line and pegs outside the back door. They are totally secluded, despite there being eight cottages on the property. So quiet - all you hear are the birds and you see the kangaroos hopping around in front of you! Each cottage also has a range of brochures detailing the attractions of the area. This is a hidden gem and well worth spending time there Thank you Ange and John

We stayed for three nights at the cottages in April 2025 as two families and had a fantastic experience. The cottages were spotlessly clean and very well equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We all loved the peaceful surroundings, the birdsong, and our kangaroo neighbours. The setting offered excellent privacy, making it perfect for families, couples, or solo travellers. The full-length windows gave us stunning views of the bush, bringing the outdoors in.
