We have just spent the most wonderful week at Pearl Bay Villas. It is the perfect combination between a villa stay and the facilities of a boutique hotel. From first contact with Peter he couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating from a suggested itinerary to asking the kitchen to make sure there were plenty of mangos available! The islands are pristine and even better than you see on Instagram. The team were always so patient with our big parties complicated orders and cocktail requests and the Boatmen were very sweet helping the kids with snorkelling and cooked up amazing barbecues on the beach. Bianca is always on hand to make and change any plans and arrangements. Some of our party are returning in three weeks for another visit, it really is a special place!

Before we even arrived in the Philippines Peter the owner of Pearl Bay Villas was really helpful over WhatsApp with helping to plan our trip and giving us lots of information on what we could do in Busawanga. Once we arrived at Busawanga Airport we were collected by a private taxi transfer arranged by Peter. The transfer was about thirty minutes through the lush green landscape. We were then met by Peter and whisked off for a short speedboat trip to Pearl Bay Villas. On arrival we were blown away by the setting, views and how peaceful it was. We stayed in one of the brand new one bedroom villas which are modern in decoration and very spacious. They all have a veranda where you can watch the beautiful sunsets. Pearl Bay Villas has such a lovely charming feel which is created by the lovely and helpful staff. A big thanks to Aileen, Amy, Kane, Romeo and chef Mike who kept us topped up with plenty of drink and food. Chef Mike was a revelation - all the food we ate from breakfast to lunch and then dinner was excellent. He would also make sure any specific requirements were catered for and spent time explaining dishes with his calm and friendly personality. And a big thank you to Peter who was generous with his time, fun and engaging. He was really helpful in planning our island hopping trips and days to Pass island. Even going the extra mile with the sun loungers!!!! We are really excited to hopefully revisit soon and see all the ideas that Peter has for Pearl Bay Villas to come to fruition. We really can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Amazing place with breath taking view and sunset! It’s only 30 min from the airport. The staff and the owners Jen and Peter are very friendly and super helpful. Food is very good! Important for us is supporting local people not corporations.

I stayed here with my family for a week this December and we had the most amazing time! We were firstly greeted by the friendly staff at the villas who looked after us so well throughout our entire stay, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The communication from the owners Jenny and Peter was so helpful both before our stay and during .. they were happy to arrange boat trips and excursions for us as we pleased and offered helpful advice on places to visit. We got to try a tasty array of local cuisine at the restaurant and the kitchen was more than happy to accommodate our dietary requirements throughout. The best part about this location is without a doubt the incredible view from both the pool and the villas themselves, we enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets each night! We hope to make a return visit in the future⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped by with Captain Mick and our crew from our dive trip on Carrabean Tigress. Had a really great dinner. The baked lapu lady was great, stuffed squid and delicious fish and chips. Our host, Peter was great to have a talk with. All round quite a good night.

We recently booked our family vacation to this place that is very deceiving. Beautiful location with NO stable electricity and water supply. Our day of arrival, not even 2 hours being there, as it is being a hot day in Palawan and an early flight from Manila. It’s but natural to put the fan and air conditioner on, as wanted to refresh from the trip. We wanted to shower and use bathrooms but unable to do so. Unbeknownst to us, this place was run by generators. As the owner Jen notified us, and told us that the generators are not capable to accommodate all the resorts needs to make the place fully functional, therefore we need to not put the air conditioner, fan, other appliances and water on at the same time. Also, the owner was controlling the use of power and electricity by putting it on and off whenever they want to. Really??? Just to remind you, there are 10 of us in my family that traveled and made a reservation on this trip. She asked us to put off all the fan and air conditioner and have us take a shower one at a time to accommodate the incapabilities of the resorts generator! Mind you, we were the only guest that day and imagine if there were more guests to tend to? We would have to keep asking and waiting for them to finish to shower or find out when they need to shower because one can be in the middle of showering then all of a sudden the power goes out, then you’re still with soap and need water to rinse out but that goes out too! Fortunately, we have occupied 2 rooms and are all related that we can communicate with one another to take a shower when one person is done showering. How horrible!!! The place is so dark and unsafe. Wow!!! What a horrible place to go on vacation!!! We tried to think positive, and that we can do this everyday and we have gone through worst things in life. But this is a family vacation! A family reuniting after 15+ years. Then we proceed to talk to the owners (Jen and Peter), they tried to work things out by offering wine and giving free breakfast the following day. But the thought of not having any resolved to these problems and a vacation that’s already wasted and ruined on the first day made us all decide that this place is NOT worth anything even if it is located in such a place. Since we were only there for 5 days we decided to leave this horrible place and went to another hotel. When we asked for refund on the days not used, Peter said he will refund those days but in rethinking it, he decided to go through the Airbnb to have it refunded. After everything has been said and done Peter REFUSED to refund the money as promised because our review of his place has been negative therefore he was planning to refund the money in hopes that we do not give a negative rating. So beware of this corrupt business owners. They have not been honest and transparent to the guests and their only concern is themselves. Greed!!!

No Electricity and No Water. When we booked this resort, the host never told us they were on generator (no electricity meant no water as well). Host was not upfront and honest with the situation in his villa but still charged full price. No offer to lessen the daily rate. Horrible experience. I would not recommend this place. My family and I had to interrupt our vacation and look for another hotel quickly. We wasted a whole day of our vacation to move. The place is also very far to get to and will require you to pay to go to and from anywhere… I would recommend that you stay closer to the city where all the activities are closer and island hopping boats are closer. Renters beware… save your money and go elsewhere…

We loved every minute! I stayed there for almost a week with my partner and two sons. The staff was warm and helpful in every way. They connected us with a diving center nearby, arranged island visits, restaurant reservations, etc. The breakfasts were gorgeous and they were happy to prepare sandwiches/coolers for day trips. But our favorite day there was the one by the pool! The villas are spacious with optimal sunset views. Pearl Bay Villas is located in a serene and well preserved area that is not over-run with tourists which was a great relief. Thank you for the beautiful experience!
