The African Paradise Beach Hotel

Such a lovely couple who welcomed us like family and did everything possible to make our stay perfect. Lots of little extra finishing touches that added to our experience. Ideally located for trips put to Pingwe, Page and Jambiani. Taxis can be arranged at minimal notice. The staff were all equally lovely and friendly. The food was excellent and well priced. Top marks for the fish biriani which was delicious. Ample breakfast which changed every day. Overall, we loved it here

We had a wonderful stay at African Paradise Hotel! The staff were warm and attentive, and the food was amazing – especially the freshly caught lobster, fish, and crab. The hotel’s design is full of character, blending local traditional architecture and artistic touches, which made the atmosphere even more unique. The location right on the beach with stunning sea views is just perfect. Highly recommended!

We had the most amazing stay at the African Paradise Beach Hotel! It was by far our best stay at a hotel ever. The owners are some of the nicest people we have ever met and so hospitable, they will make you feel so welcome and are willing to help with everything you need (if you need advice on what to do, what are the best times to go somewhere, taxis, etc). The hotel is very beautiful and the sitting area in front of it is lovely. The location of the hotel is great as it’s right on the beach and compared to some other parts of the island, Bwejuu is tranquil and very relaxing. The beach and ocean are lovely. It’s very close to Paje, which we ended up visiting multiple times. The tides didn’t bother us at all, you get to swim plenty. The breakfast, which exists of 3 courses, is such a nice start of every day and very filling and delicious. Some adjustments had to be made for me, which was no problem at all for the hotel to do. We also ate a lot of our lunches and dinners at the hotel since it’s just such a nice place to sit and eat either on the balcony or the sitting area on the beach, and the food is sooo good. The cooking is done so well and truly everything is delicious and tasty! We couldn’t get enough of it. Things like the cocktails, wines and fruit smoothies were great as well. The staff is sooo nice, attentive and quick, the service at the hotel is impeccable and everybody makes you feel at home. They also surprised my partner with a cake for his birthday and sang for him, which was so thoughtful! Our room was cleaned everyday. We had airconditioning in the room (as in, an AC unit) but turning on the ceiling fan at night was already good enough for us and we ended up only turning the airconditioning on in the evenings and shortly in the mornings. In summary, everything was amazing and such a positive experience. We want to again thank the owners and the staff for our lovely time and if we ever return to Zanzibar, we will definitely stay here again!

Stayed here four nights and it was fabulous! The owners are kind and generous and I had welcome bracelets in my room! The staff is wonderful and food is delicious. Had a balcony/ocean view room. Had 3 dinners here and chose fresh fish…fabulous! Breakfasts starts with fresh fruit! Owners kindly arranged taxi for Rock Restaurant. I will miss the animals and serenity this place offers. We had a complimentary group boat ride yesterday to see Paje beach, swim and snorkel! 5++ star in my opinion!

We spent 3 nights at the African Paradise hotel and have nothing but good things to say. The hotel is right by the ocean; white sand beach and beautiful, warm, turquoise water; nice and quiet/relaxing area, but a very short beach walk from the lively town of Paje. The owners are adorable - they were so helpful and accommodating; they helped arrange a variety of day-trips for us, coordinating transportation, etc. They also took us/a few other guests on a complementary boat ride to swim/snorkel nearby! The room was super cozy, clean, and had AC. The staff were all super helpful/friendly, and the FOOD. Omg. The breakfast that was included was a 3-course meal that started with the best, most flavorful fruit we’ve ever had, and was followed by a new main course each day (the waffles with banana, chocolate sauce, and whatever the heavenly fruit flavor was were our fav), followed by eggs, made to order. The lunch/dinner menu and cocktail menu were also fantastic, and very reasonably priced, especially given how giant the food portions were. 10/10, would highly recommend staying here!

This charming beach hotel was our first stop on our tour are the island, they organised a transfer for us from the airport late on Christmas eve, we arrived late in the night bit were welcomed with smiles and hugs, the next morning, (Christmas day) i was unfortunately extremely ill, suffering from a seizure, everyone was very attentive and calmed my partner as they tended to me and made me comfortable in our room. Later that night, we, along with the other guests staying, were treated to a crab dinner for Christmas dinner. I highly recommend the african paradise hotel, I don't believe I've ever been treated so well in the circumstances, I can't fault anything with this hotel or staff, as we were leaving we were told if for any reason we needed help they would come and get us. Thank you so much for an amazing first impression of zanzibar. A truly wonderful experience. 🥰
