Sandpalms Roadhouse Tropical Motel

Recently had the displeasure of staying at Sandpalms. I have stayed there on several occasions over the last few years. It has progressively deteriorated in that time. The accommodation is grossly over priced for what it offers, the dongers for want of a worse word were in a word disgusting. FIFO workers at remote work locations get better lodgings. I will at least say the bedding was clean, and thankfully the aircon worked, I can't speak for the other rooms. The roofing was rotted and falling in in some spots and some of the flooring in bathroom areas appeared to be worse for wear. I had no hot water and requested over the several days I was there if someone could fix it, to no avail, he seemed more intent on getting drunk and playing pool with the rest of the locals who seem to treat it as a halfway house. Meals were ordinary, order something and get something different. Some meals over cooked, and a disgusting chicken schnitzel that was raw in the middle. Staff although polite but were a bit clueless and didn't understand some requests. Over all the place is rundown and seemingly not managed very well at all. Drunk rowdy people around the pool table including the people that are supposed to be running the place!
