Our stay at the Caer Menai could not have been better! The hospitality was very welcoming with some history of the area and many suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing options. Our room was well appointed, very clean, and lovely views, with everything we needed. There were very modern fixtures throughout that complimented the ambiance and character of the place, such as modern lighting, electrical sockets everywhere, and the best shower in the UK with a temperature dial to start the water temperature for your shower. Breakfast was good with plenty of options.

Arrived dripping wet with 4 others in our walking group - our host was totally relaxed about it and made us very welcome. He even turned the heating on so that we could dry our sopping clothes! The rooms were very comfy, well equipped and every detail had been thought out - even a mini fridge with fresh milk and bottles of water! Excellent choices for breakfast. Our host excelled in helping out with local information including recommendations and bus times to get us there. I can thoroughly recommend Caer Menai Guest House - a very friendly and welcoming place to stay.

This will be my third visit to Caer Menai and each time it’s just as great as the other. This time i stayed in one of the small doubles room 4, the room was immaculately clean and fresh upon arrival, the bed was perfectly made with a lovely duvet cover and throw on-top. Room has all standard amenities such as tea and coffee with fresh milk in the in-room fridge, smart tv with digital channels and superb fast wi-fi. Had easily one of the best nights sleep in a hotel thats I’ve ever had, the mattress was super comfy. Breakfast is a pre-order style for the hot breakfast and a small continental is available to help yourself. You can tell that all the food is of high standard and the owners care about the reputation of their business. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners, and they are very knowledgable about the local area and its surrounding area. They both took the time to make conversation and genuinely felt friendly and personal. Having stayed before i know that parking on street is first come first served due to it being free and unlimited stay but there is ample parking nearby in the car parks. They do send out a parking map in the booking confirmation which is useful for people not familiar with the area. Staying here is much better than any chain hotel and is definitely worth the money for the convenience of being within the castle walls in Caernarfon. Highly recommended

THe situation of Caer Menai is so interesting, right beside the mediaeval wall of the town, close to the castle, the harbour and restaurants. Also it is beautifully furnished and equipped, with many useful little touches, like a bedside alarm clock and a shelf full of tourist guidebooks in the guests' comfortable and elegant sitting room. Breakfast was topnotch, too much food actually, despited the ability to choose in advance what to have. The owners were experienced in the hospitality business, friendly and so enthusiastic about helping people enjoy their lovely area

Beautiful place to stay. Anthony and Neil were the perfect hosts. When we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to their best room at no extra charge, wonderful surprise. Great position and outlook. Breakfast was very nice. To top it off Neil went above and beyond expectations when we couldn’t get tickets for the Mount Snowden train. He managed to get us tickets even though the website said it was fully booked for a month. Thanks guys if ever in Australia look us up. Geoff and Lyndell.

I was greeted by Karen who was wonderful and explained everything to me. My room (4) was lovely. Bed was super comfy. The room has everything you could ask for including a little mini fridge just outside the room with milk and water to help yourself. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. There were continental options, hot options alongside other options such as porridge and pancakes. This was my first solo trip and I thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel location is excellent. Parking was no problem and it is right by the harbour and the castle. Free WiFi. If I come to Caernarfon again I will not hesitate to book the Caer Menai.
