This is the best hotel we have been to in Argentina, the place is just wonderful and the employees are very nice! The location is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards, the hotel's architecture is stunning (it looks like a Spanish "masia" or a countryside house in Italy's Tuscany). When we arrived they gave us a room in the first floor and asked for a room in the floor above to have better views, they did all they could to change our room free of charge. They also offered a free wine-tasting, so we had the chance to try all of their wines with some cheese platters (white, red, rose, from the cheaper end to the very expensive end) with a professional sommelier. The hotel offers some activities (we did a horseback-riding excursion). In the evening the garden and the terrace are full of people enjoying some nice wine, the atmosphere is really magical. A lot of people ignore the area of Cafayate (and head to Mendoza instead), that is a big mistake, not only do I think that Cafayate wine is nicer but the area is beautiful. I strongly recommend staying here!

We stayed at Altalaluna Hotel for far too short a time on our trip around Argentina. The hotel is a situated just outside Cafayate, surrounded by its vineyards and with a swimming pool in the grounds as well as a gym and spa. Beautiful old trees provide shade and they have designed the sleeping accommodation so that windows (with mosquito mesh!) and doors have been strategically placed so that a welcome cooling breeze flowed through the rooms during our stay. The bedrooms are comfortable and there is a little sitting out patio area attached to each property. Breakfast buffet tables were laden with fruits, breads, pastries, cakes, cheeses, meats and more than you could wish for.

This boutique hotel is located about 10 minutes by car from Cafayate - in an old building in the midst of green vineyards... We had a spacious colonial-style suite with a balcony on the upper floor. The only "negative" feature was the missing shower cabin. I simply dislike taking showers in a bathtub with a curtain... The hotel pool is at the edge of a huge garden with lounge chairs being found all across the ground. They have a large inside restaurant which - during our stay - had only been used for setting up the breakfast buffet. As the weather was gorgeous meals were served on the terrace or underneath the mighty trees in the garden. We had an excellent dinner on both evenings accompanied by their Tukma wines. One afternoon we ordered a ham and cheese platter - after a long wait they surprised us with the most opulent "picada" which would easily have fed three people... Regrettably we had to skip the wine tasting as it was in Spanish only. But we watched the group from a table nearby and they seem to have had a lot of fun with the "sommelière". The staff was very attentive and we would definitely come back if we had the chance...

A very nice location outside of Cafayate and in the country side. It has a large garden and a great swimming pool next to the vineyards. The rooms are comfortable and large. The restaurant is excellent and the service is great. Fantastic food. Really recommended!

Decepción total. La infraestructura , ubicación , servicio .. todo realmente mal . No tiene nada que ver con un hotel de lujo .. demás está decir que la relación precio calidad no tiene nada que ver todo pésimo. Lo único lindo es la vista a los viñedos .. pero el hotel se cae a pedazos el desayuno medio pelo y queda lejos de todo

Hermoso Hotel con muy buena vista y excelente propuesta gastrononica dentro del mismo. Excelente atención por parte de todos. Dado que no está en el centro es ideal para ir con auto. El lugar ofrece pileta pero se puede aprovechar en los meses calidos dado que no es climatizada.
