There was a fire right outside the hotel. We argued with the hotel manager for 4 hours to accept a refund for us to change hotel but she wouldnt agree.
The smoke got inside the lobby, corridors and rooms but she would still not agree with a refund.
No evacuation was planned either which is insane.

Service was phenomenal, the staff there were very friendly and caring, any problem or request and my needs were met. The hotel is very clean, the area is quiet with no disturbances during our stay. Room was equipped with AC which was very nice after coming in from the heat. The room was clean, with the beds being very comfy. The only negative to this place is that it’s in the middle of no where, in order to get there from the airport it’s either a 2 hour walk (have to walk around the motorways) or have to get a €20 taxi. In addition to this, it’s another 30 minutes roughly bus ride to the centre, and a good 20 minute walk to the closest shops. The hotel itself was excellent however the location is a really big negative to staying there. If you don’t have a car it’s not worth staying unless you can sort out travel.

When we arrived there was a fire just next to the hotel and smoke everywhere. People were panicking at the reception area when we arrived. I had difficulties to breathe. Question to you: Would you have a good feeling to check in at his situation? We kindly asked the employee on duty (reception) of this hotel if he is ok with the fact, we would like to cancel our reservation due to our health and safety. He laughed at me and said no. What an unprofessional reaction … Platinum member or not…. He just gave us the feeling, he wouldn’t care of any health and security of their customers. A mum was crying that she was afraid of your daughter left in the room. He screamed at the woman instead of calming her down. This situation escalated and the THE OWN COLLEAGUE (female) of the male colleague had to calm him down, as she realized that this behavior was shocking to everyone… clients and the employees as well. Unacceptable! The whole situation was a shame for IHG for showing no respect of safety for their clients. This was the worst experience I have made in any hotel so far. It was not possible for us to stay at this hotel due the conditions just mentioned above. We had to find another hotel for the night. What a shame in humanity. Never again I will chose Holiday Inn.

Spent one night here and booked due to location. This hotel is around 10 min from the airport. We had a 6am flight and the hotel arranged for taxi pick up at 445. The hotel is nice but feels very dated and in need of refurbishment. It had good air conditioning and wifi. They also offered free breakfast but I left too early to enjoy this offer. Would recommend if you have an early morning flight - otherwise would research other places.

I decided to stay for a night at his hotel so i could be near the Airport and enjoy the sun one more day in the pool.
The pool was very dirty, the sunbeds the dirtiest i have ever seen. Carpets in the corridors very dirty and old, teared in some parts which can be easily trip hazard.
Staff was very friendly. The restaurant had good food.

The hotel is located near the airport but the only way to get there is by taxi, which costs at least 20 euros. Limited dining options nearby.

The hotel is on the edge of the city and isn't the most pleasant environment. Outside was a sort of car park with some *****ped down cars and the entrance where the underground car park is looks a bit like an industrial wasteland. Once inside though the hotel is very pleasant and our room was quiet, spacious and clean. There were plenty of power sockets, a desk to work at and decent wifi. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on food but the hotel was a good base to explore the area - Cagliari centre was less than 10 minutes away and was an easy drive.
