Gavimar la Mirada Hotel and Apartments

The whole experience was excellent. All staff were great and efficient. Great quality food and drinks, particularly considering quality cost ratio. All common areas, and room continuously being cleaned. Definitely a place I would like to repeat next year.

Room has a strange smell on arrival. Aircon didn’t work. No housekeeping for the whole 4 days we stayed. Buffet was the same most days. Wouldn’t go again

Really very bad. Not a 3 star. I see someone said the hotel is clean that is not our experience. It feels like a bad hostel. We found the public area including eating really dirty. A thick yellow stain around the around the side of pool . The food is boring bland dull… the offer is abit like school dinners. Meeting the requirement but unexciting , tasteless and disappointing. There were ants in our room in the bed wall and wardrobe. Which we asked to be removed twice. We asked to be moved or down graded so we could eat out as we were here as an all inclusive , the hotel refused . If you are looking at the hotel and haven’t booked do yourself and favour and book elsewhere. I do worry for the hygiene and someone is going to be really poorly staying here.

We didn't know what to expect. We had an apartment and it was comfortable, clean and the air-conditioning worked well on the hottest days. Food - always something for everyone and we certainly didn't go hungry. Don't read too much into the negative reviews...also, its in a great spot for walking to beach and shops. We really enjoyed our stay 😃

Had a weeks stay here at the beginning of August. Firstly, the price of this hotel compared to other 3stars is ridiculously expensive- so you would think good things for the price. On arrival check in took forever- the receptionist wasn’t helpful. The food was diabolical and not much choice. Every time you’d walk in to get food the smell of fish would hit you in the face and put you off eating anything. I ate fruit and got snacks from the nearby shop. The rooms are very dated and smell very musty. The bath was yellow and stained and you never felt clean- also because the water was salt water. In the night you’d wake up with ants crawling on you all in the beds, I would say this would interfere with your sleep but the hardness of the beds do anyway- it’s like sleeping on a brick. The aircon in the room was ok, we got lucky on that one. The only positive is the beach is a two min walk away but get there early in summer months as it gets busy. Overall I would never return, never recommend to anyone and definitely wouldn’t even consider it a 3 star. If it was possible I would say zero stars. If you’ve already booked then I’d consider changing hotel or go knowing what it’s like and make the best of it- you can either laugh or you’ll cry.
