What a fantastic place . This is our first family holiday abroad bringing our 4 year old princess away. And we couldn’t have asked for a better place to visit. From start to finish it’s been amazing. The room was lovely with a mega view of the pool. Plenty of room for us all. The food was unreal and a great variety daily. The staff were exceptional. They couldn’t do enough for us, so professional and friendly. We’ve had the most wonderful stay and will certainly be coming back here again.

If you’re looking for a hotel that has a great choice of water activities for children, this is it. If you’re looking for anything else…don’t bother coming here. The check in service was awful. I had messaged the hotel via, email, Facebook, instagram & head office email to request a cot and bed rail. We arrived at 00.00 and when I’d mentioned this request to the ‘night manager’ he’d said he hasn’t seen the request, and as I’d not received a confirmation email - I was to blame. Once we got into room, there was no cot, spoke to night porter who handed a travel cot and sheets - I had to make the bed myself, a lovely surprise after a long day of travelling. Our first day - we couldn’t get back into room after breakfast, 2 visits to reception to have access card reset, it was actually the electronic door lock fault & we had to wait 45 minutes for a technician to come and fix… we had a 9month old with dirty nappy & a 3yo to keep amused. Kettle requested at 10am to make baby milk, 2.5 hours later still no kettle. Called reception again - finally received 3 hours after initial request. Gym - no aircon, no water, one working treadmill with a tear/ cut on the belt (huge trip hazard - see pics !) no working bikes. Most of the baby chairs are broken so if you have a young baby - make sure you check the straps/clips. Breakfast Buffet food is cold, even the hot food. Scrambled egg is made from ready made packaged food. Repetitive. Children’s food - don’t expect any healthy options. Pancakes and churros in the morning. Pizza, burger or hotdog in evening. If booking an a la carte - children’s menu is limited, especially at south restaurant. Be prepared for confrontation by the buffet bouncers who try to stop you from taking food to the a la cartes for children. If you want a good choice of dining / experience - catch a taxi / train / bus to Porto Cristo…better still, stay somewhere else. We did raise each issue with the reception, each time they told us to talk to Guest relations. He is aware of issues but I feel that the general public, who are considering booking this hotel should also be aware. To sum this hotel up Pools 5/5 Entertainment for children 5/5 Service 2/5 Housekeeping 1/5 Buffet Service 1/5 Surf Restaurant 0/5 (unless you like tasteless, uncooked pasta) Fifties 4/5 (burgers and hot dogs - can’t really go wrong) South Restaurant 3/5 (no children’s options & menu items available weren’t as displayed on menu)

This is our second visit to the Insotel, first time was with family,, this time just as a couple. We thought we would try the Adults only section/area and again all inclusive. Quieter, with own pool but still have access to all areas of the hotel and facilities. We were met at Reception by the Guest Receptions Manager, DAVID. Also on reception TONY,,Who couldn’t do enough for us to make us feel welcome! And this continued for the whole of our holiday. Had a lovely room facing the pool area, which was spotless and cleaned to a high standard by PAQUI. As for the Restaurants,, there was a fantastic variety of high quality foods. We were looked after exceedingly well by JOSE,,JUAN,,SANTIAGO and LILLIAN!! Great entertainment team and the Bar area had all local & Branded drinks available! All served with a smile and good humour by the wonderful ANGIE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FAMILIES & COUPLES TO STAY & WE WILL BE BACK! Paul & Katie ☘️☘️

Had a lovely time at the Insotel Cala Mandía Resort. We were in block A and the room provided everything we needed for 2 adults and 2 children. Block A was handy to get to the buffet at meal times and post the mini disco. The design of the resort was easy to understand and with it being spread out didn't make the areas feel overly busy that you get in some resorts. The children attended some of the Maxi club & Teen activities and really enjoyed them. Especially the football & water volly . All the staff were so helpful and friendly. Julian who ran the Maxi club football was great and both boys looked forward to the session and speaking to him. Juan & Santiago (hoping I've spelt correctly) were so welcoming at the buffet and were accommodating (when they could be) for us to sit inside for the buffet (youngest child preference). No issues at all over the stay and would recommend.

This hotel is most definitely not a 4 star! Whilst we had a fantastic family holiday, there were some downfalls to this hotel. We stayed in block A. Our balcony overlooked the shops where all the staff congregate drinking and smoking until very late at night. The sound travels straight up so on a second floor balcony it was extremely loud so we could not sit out! One of the chefs also seen walking about in his chef whites smoking and spitting on the floor. Our room was quite dated but pretty clean. Fresh towels everyday although some did have holes and stains on them. On arrival the room smelled really badly of sanitary bins!! This seemed to go away after the maid had been in the next morning. The layout of the rooms is a bit strange. The bedrooms are positioned next to a busy walkway of people wheeling suitcases back and forth at all hours and children running round screaming. By the 3rd night I had to move to the sofa to sleep as I was being woken multiple times during the night, but it didn't make much difference and was very uncomfortable. There is a fantastic choice of pools at a good temperature, and the splash park is fantastic. The food was very much the same thing each day and not fantastic. Quite a lot of flies on the food buffet and it took quite a while for staff to replenish items that had run out. Good luck finding a soft drinks dispenser that's really has syrup left in it! Majority of the time it comes out as just fizzy water. Small paper or reusable plastic cups used in a lot of places which means you're forever back and forth to the machine/bar. The south pool is the best after 3pm when they stop charging for the Bali beds. The pools all close st 6, but once the lifeguard leaves everyone gets back in and swims until late at night. The main pool is extremely loud and crammed and the adult only area is chargeable. We discovered area D on our second to last day, which even though a 10 minute walk away. Had a lovely quiet pool although dated, and a snack bar. Angie working the bar in area D was lovely to talk to and very welcoming. Area C gets extremely busy on a nighttime so if you dont get there early you've no chance of a seat. Taxi's are a nightmare to come by. Even when reception have have called one you could be waiting a good while for one to arrive. The buses are easy and air conditioned. We went to the Fifties restaurant for a change in food one evening. €19 and it included drinks and basically all you can eat. As a family of 8 we managed to order one of each of the sharers for the table and they was all lovely. None of the waiting staff in the grand buffet seem to enjoy their jobs. I don't think I saw one crack a smile apart from the lady that greats you! There doesn't seem to be a non smoking block in the hotel, which meant people smoking on balconies right next to you. We were surrounded by smokers on either side of us so our room would fill with smell everytime we had the balcony doors open. The transfer st

Beautiful hotel. Lovely rooms. Entertainment staff and Reps were amazing and very helpful. The food was good and never long waiting times for anything even at the bar for drinks. Slight hiccup with rooms on arrival but solved swiftly the next day. Will definitely return. ALSO I LOVED THE CHOO CHOO TRAIN
