To be honest, there is room for improvement. BUT all the pro’s definitely make up for it and our 3-day stay was a big hit! Big shout out to the staff- very attentive, polite, friendly and efficient. Some great convos we’ve had were with the staff. They are probably this resort’s biggest gem. Food- so many choices!!! The Japanese food choices did not disappoint! I had sashimi that was fresh and all the maki’s were just as good. My partner loved the Lebanese offerings. Servings are good for sharing so it’s good value for money. Bfast is reasonable and very big servings. You also do not have to wait long. Amenities- this resort’s got a lot to offer. Pool is not big but all good since beach is perpetually low tide - makes for a good quick dip. Live band performed for the 2 nights we were here. It added to a party vibe. Massage and beauty center is available too. Water sports and boating activities are also available. We rented a boat for island hopping and was really taken cared of very well by the boat men. Our room faced the beach so it’s really great in the mornings and sunsets are great too since it is facing the west. Only room for improvement is tv only had 1 channel. But our room was very comfortable and quiet even if we had the live band playing outside. Location- we liked that it is convenient. We only took the bus coming and going and it was easy. Overall we had a nice time. And will definitely come back. Good, relaxing and nice time.

Lago de Oro Resort is our go to place for authentic Lebanese food although they cater other kinds of food like Filipino, Japanese, etc... They have hotel accommodations, swimming pool, and wakeboarding activity to those sporty people out there... The beach behind this resort is beautiful but not for swimming. You can wade when it's low tide... A must visit!

This place is absolutely terrible. Not only is there only one electrical outlet per room, but there was also no transformer readily available for me to charge my devices. This lack of convenience was highly frustrating and inconvenient. Additionally, the internet connectivity was nonexistent, making it nearly impossible to stay connected and get any work done. To make matters worse, the food at this place was absolutely horrible. I decided to order pad thai and calamari, along with a pina colada, but all of the above was subpar. The taste was disappointing, and the quality of the ingredients used was questionable. It was definitely not a pleasant dining experience. Furthermore, the showers and room conditions were completely unacceptable. The showers were either too hot or too cold, and the room itself was not well-maintained. The cleanliness was lacking, and the overall condition of the room left much to be desired. Additionally, the groundskeeping was terrible, with unkempt gardens and poorly maintained common areas. Despite all the negatives, the only positive aspect of this place was the staff. They were extremely friendly and accommodating, which was a small consolation in an otherwise disappointing experience. However, when I approached the ownership to address my concerns, they were too busy FaceTiming someone to give me their full attention. They did not have an answer for my concerns and didn't seem to care about addressing them. I don't usually take the time to review places I visit, but this experience was so bad that I felt compelled to warn potential travelers. The pictures that may be available online do not accurately reflect the true condition of the hotel. It is important for people to know the reality of what they are getting into before making a decision to stay here.

Lago de Oro is the best resort in Calatagan where I live and so we go to their restaurant for special celebrations. On this occasion, we were celebrating my partner's birthday but it was impossible to enjoy the dinner because a band was playing so loudly that we couldn't here each other across the table! Some background music can be very pleasant and the music played between the bands session was at a much more reasonable volume. Why is it that many venues think I want to be assaulted by loud music whilst I'm eating? The t-bone steak my partner had was very good but my chicken curry was poor. Overall average value for money.
