This accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away.
The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.

Anonymous UserThis is also a very good hotel. The front desk service was excellent. Initially, there was an issue with the air conditioning in my room – it couldn't be manually adjusted. I informed the front desk, and they immediately moved me to a new room. The AC in the new room worked perfectly, making my stay very comfortable. Thumbs up for the service!
The breakfast was good. My favorite dishes were replenished constantly, and the fish was delicious. The coffee was also nice. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable.

澐錦 國際教育This is one of my top recommended hotels within the Cambridge University graduate student area. I frequently book this hotel for our professors and students, and every time, I receive excellent feedback.
On July 17th and 18th, there was a very large event in this new research district, which was just a 3-minute walk from the hotel. It was incredibly convenient, and everyone had a great time! 😀
The biggest advantage of the hotel is its extremely convenient transportation. There's a U Bus stop right near the entrance, providing direct access to Cambridge city center and the train station, making it perfect for visiting scholars, students, or first-time visitors to Cambridge.
A large supermarket is just a two or three-minute walk away, making daily shopping very easy. The surrounding neighborhood is pleasant, with many excellent restaurant options. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety and excellent quality, ensuring a pleasant start to each day.
Overall, whether it's the accommodation environment, location, or convenience, it's an ideal choice for anyone studying, working, or visiting Cambridge. I will definitely continue to recommend it to professors, students, and friends.

WoodqiuThe hotel is a 15-20 minute drive from Cambridge. There's a gas station and a large supermarket next door with a good selection of items. Breakfast is standard, a typical English breakfast. The car park is spacious, perfect for those traveling by car, and the rooms are quite new.

Travel with rachelThe hotel was nice and clean feel £10 to park the car was a bit high, the staff was friendly but would not say the most helpful. did have a issue with another couple staying there they damaged my car by slamming there car door into mine I was sitting in the bar area and watched them do it the staff did nothing about this which is bad when they charge that for u to park ur car

Guest UserI booked the hotel just one day before the booking. When I arrived on 10/7 at the day of hot weather warning, I found the room temperature is 28.5C and then the staff at front desk told me the air conditioning was out of order. As per their instruction, I wrote to the Assistant manager asking for viable solution and refund but no reply was got. Besides the chair in the room is full of heavy dust, likely they previously cleaned a dirty fan on the chair. I could not sleep properly. Terrible experience.

While the hotel itself and rooms are fine. You have to pay extra for parking which is clearly just for capitalist gains as it’s on property.
They advertise a pool (one of the main reasons we picked the hotel), which we were told on arrival has been closed for years, yet no thought to advertise this online was thought of? No instead they keep a picture of said swimming pool online when it would be a simple manner of taking one picture down to stop disappointment. They keep it up to attract visitors unfortunately.
The water in the room for shower and bath simply did not go hot, but rather a low lukewarm. Breakfast also cost £15 which we opted not to do due to competition prices being so much lower for the same thing.
Ultimately, it was a disappointing stay mainly due to their misinformation than the room itself.

Guest UserSo likable I extended. The location score only applies if you have a vehicle. It’s a truck highway stop with a petrol station, EV car chargers and a large food court containing multiple outlets. If you don’t have a vehicle it’s an uber or long walk to public transport.
The hotel itself is functional with accommodating staff.
Ive wasted 10 mins of my life trying to upload photos of the EV charging station. It exists and is a plus for the hotel.
