The hotel's traditional management made moving around the hotel a bit inconvenient, but the luxurious feel was appealing. The food was excellent and the service was excellent. The location, far from downtown Porto, was a bit inconvenient.

Deveriam ter pessoal competente na recepção. Com estadia paga já previamente, chego à recepção e perguntam como desejo pagar a estadia, sem confirmarem primeiro que a reserva já se encontrava paga. Sem um pedido de desculpas, fez o check in e nem nos informou dos serviços que tinha nas instalações (spa, piscina, massagens, etc) nem do funcionamento das mesmas. Para não falar do check out tardio ao qual eu tinha direito e também não fui informada. Se eu não soubesse já de antemão desses serviços nem tinha usifruido deles. De resto, 5 estrelas.

Staff could be more pleasant and welcoming towards non white guests. It's obvious they behave differently towards non white individuals. The gentleman at the front didn't even bother to help me with bags or door when I was checking out and getting into a taxi.. didn't expect it from a Ronald owned hotel.
