This place should be bulldozed. The minute I walked into the so called reception I knew it was going to be a disaster . The lady at the desk appeared to be drug affected , the reception area smelt like there were dead rodents in the place . The place looked filthy and dirty . I was given the key to the room and drove to the unit block. I was scared to get out of the car. I walked up to my room , it was surrounded by pigeons and pigeon poop. I opened the door and automatically this awful smell came out of it . The place looked like a halfway house . I am not sure how booking .Com promote such a filthy /disgusting place . I automatically closed the door behind me and left . I was scared to stay there .

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES. Rundown Filthy and Bug Infested. AVOID this place at all costs. The rooms are foul. The AC units are as noisy as a freight train. The blinds are old and broken. There are cigarette burns on the vanity. The sheets and bedding are geriatrics and paper thin and contain non-removable stains from whoever whenever. The Carpets are full of mites and you are scratching from the point of entry. The smell is like old dust and mould and you immediately know it's an unhealthy haven for bugs. The beds are so old they turn into a V from just sitting on them. To be anywhere near the Bed means you are also bitten by either Bed Bugs or Dust Mites. There are homeless people living in this Motel and an array of strange things were witnessed. The entire carpark is lit with bright floodlights all night long. The area is rough, there were sounds of Police Sirens all night long and some loud Band playing nearby and people yahooing. We didn't dare leave the room and felt very unsafe in this area and in this revolting Motel.

The write up on line about The Colonial is a far stretch from the reality. The reviews are correct. We looked around and unfortunately there was not much available in Campbelltown for our dates. As it was, $730 for 5 nights was way above what we wanted to pay for that area. First of all I’d like to compliment the staff. They were lovely. The house keeping staff especially were very friendly and helpful. Our beds were comfortable and there was enough hot water. That’s about as good as it gets. I double checked there was wifi as my daughter works from her computer from 5am in the morning and then later at night. I was told there was wifi. There wasn’t. We were then told it was being fixed and it didn’t get fixed. So my daughter lost 2 days work and 2 days pay. We were not offered compensation in any way. The 2nd night we stayed there was some kind of deal going on in the car park. At 2am, arguing and fighting broke out in the room above my folks room and then 2 cars sat idling with their lights on for an hour and a half in the car park. Right outside my folks room. They are elderly so it was very unsettling. I watched from another room as baskets of washing were brought out to cars and then cars moved and people got out and In. It all seemed very dodgy and not what we needed on a family medical emergency trip. There was no cutlery or plates but a toaster and kettle. We had to buy a knife just so we could have toast. The rooms were very smelly and musty. We bought air freshener just to make it bearable for 5 days. If you had to stay In This area I’d recommend it for a night if you were stuck. But for the price it’s definately not worth it. I’ve stayed in 5 star beach accomodation that’s been cheaper than this. It is however close to shops and transport if that’s something you need.

This place is in need of some serious maintenance. The Door didn't shut without force, the chain was broken. The bathroom door had a punch hole and there was no hairdryer in the cradle. The lamp shade was a bit trashed and the switch faulty. The air con was average and very noisy. The TV did not work at all. The blinds were mangled. Sticky-tape marks on the mirror. I don't see how they can say it's worth $175 p/night through Qantas booking - I'd rather sleep in my car.

This was cheap (for Campbelltown) to stay at for an overnight stay on my way from QLD to Melbourne, Campbelltown is just off the freeway. The aircon worked to heat the room, had a good hot shower and the TV worked fine. On the other hand, there was no security chain on the door and the door lock was very basic, I would not stay here again due to the lack of security. The chairs were uncomfortable metal ones. There was a small round table but it had the microwave on it so could not be used to sit at. You could sit at the bench in the room. Room was spacious with room for a couch but there wasn't one. In bathroom, all original fittings (1970's?) and shower is over the bath. I was in the end room and when I asked about wifi code, was given it on a bit of paper and warned the room was a bit far from the wifi. This was correct, wifi did not work at all, could not login. There were about 10 other cars outside the rooms, so place was half full, so is getting some custom

The photos on *********** are a bit misleading, the place isn't as good as all that... I think this motel saw its glory days in the 80's and hasn't seen much maintenance since. Windows that don't open, doors that don't close, mould, ripped carpet, holes in walls, non-smoking rooms that reek of stale tobacco... But, the linen was fresh and clean, the beds well-made and comfortable. Certainly not the worst place I've stayed in. Also, don't mind the ground floor inhabitants that stare at you slack-jawed as you walk past. They seem harmless if a little disconcerting.

There is only one word to describe this accommodation, outdated and uncared for, in need of some every day maintenance. The handle fell off the cold water tap in the shower. Famines had been torn from areas in the little kitchenette. There were 2 cups, one saucer, one spoon and one glass. The only reason we stayed after an entire days driving was the fact that the sheets appeared to be clean!

Recently in NSW there were major floods, roads were damaged and inaccessible. Despite not being able to travel to this motel by any means the establishment refused to process a refund. Never book at this motel they are totally unreasonable.

I stayed at this hotel for a night. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, the fridge shelves were tape, rust over almost everything, all night into the early hours the people in the room next to us has music playing and tv on high volume whilst being loud themselves and because they walls are thin we heard absolutely everything. The only good thing was the pressure in the shower that I didn’t use because it was dirty.
