GR Caribe Deluxe by Solaris All Inclusive

Great value all inclusive hotel! The hotel is connected to the Royal Solaris and you have access to amenities and restaurants at both hotels. However, the GR Caribe is the more modern and more exclusive hotel. The vibe is notably nicer for couples without kids as the Royal Solaris pools are usually full of families.

Awful. Just AWFUL. Do not believe the 8/10 rating you see. From the moment you arrive, someone is pressuring you to attend a “VIP Breakfast.” That’s code for pushing their timeshare on anyone who will listen. Every time we came through the lobby we were badgered to attend. One of two elevators was out of service, and the one that was “working” was not very helpful as it hardly ever came. The food was horrible. Buffets offer very little in terms of variety and quality. Even the full-service restaurants were not good despite their above average ratings. It appears as if quality has declined over time. Probably the worst part of our experience was my visit to the spa. I went in for a pedicure and left before it was completed. The woman providing my service was very clearly not qualified to perform it. She cut my toe to the point of blood while trimming my nails. I ended the service and requested a refund (they require you pay before your service). Naturally upset and disappointed by the experience I contacted the front desk and asked for a manager. I was told no one was available to speak to me and was promised a call back which I never received. Something else to mention is that due to the location of this hotel, the ocean currents were beyond rough. We could barely go in up to our knees because of the water’s strong pull. The beach is beautiful, but we couldn't enjoy the ocean at all. Overall, I would NEVER stay here again. You could find so much better for your money.

Give us the worst room in the hotel they smell was awful. We asked to change two times. And one of the Rooms was better but smell really bad. Checking was at 4:50pm and didn’t aloud us to do late check out. Never go back the this hotel.

There is a problem when we check-in. They made a mistake of my daughter's age and let us pay the fee for the extra charge.

It was a nightmare booking our stay here. Since the moment we walked in, we were harassed to do a “presentation”. Which included a free massage voucher. They did no honor this, charged us full price for the service due to their miscommunication and almost made us miss our shuttle due to the chaos during check out. They gave us the spa voucher and would not honor it since they couldn’t get a hold of the spa. The staff seems like they are forced to work there. The front desk workers have no idea about anything. They are so unpleasant and ruined our whole trip. The hotel helped book a trip to Isla Mujeres and due to windy conditions, the excision was cancelled and the hotel was notified yet they failed to tell us, we dragged two of our kids to the marina that is 45 minutes away only to find out the boats cannot sail and it’s been cancelled. The list is endless of what a horror this hotel was. Their own staff told us to never book this hotel and many customers have very unpleasant experiences. This was our 6th trip to Mexico and it was the first time a hotel lied and scammed us. Absolute disaster, avoid at all costs no matter how cheap it can be!!

i liked the look of GR Caribe, it had a unique looked and didn't look like your typical resort. Food was average, we initially had issues with the wifi not working, and the elevators did not work so we used the stairs. Staff was amazing and overall I had a good time. Just minor things that I would complain about!

Very quiet and calm place. Staff was wonderful. Food options were amazing. Mostly had non veg options, however the chefs prepared veg food on request. Kayaking was provided by the hotel.
