A very old hotel, old facilities not at all the same as in the photos

Although the hotel has its glory days behind it, it is really clean and in my opinion well managed. During my stay, the guests were mostly retirees from the UK and middle-aged couples with or without children. The rooms are spacious enough, large balconies with a view of the ocean. The location is very good in the case of renting a car, I always rent a car at the airport so that I can freely explore the island, although there are few free parking spaces in the area, just drive around the promenade a bit and you can always find a parking space. The hotel's strong point is the kitchen. Breakfasts are standard full English and Spanish, while lunches and dinners are varied. Every other day or maybe every day there are theme nights, in my opinion the best was the Asian evening, with a full selection of sushi. Desserts also in a sugar-free version. As for alcohol, if anyone is interested, the bartenders, especially in the show bar during the performance, really do their job, they don't mess around with serving drinks to the ml, they just pour from the heart as you expect, they do it efficiently and quickly. minus for the fact that the gym is rather makeshift and young people have nothing to look for here. If it weren't for the fact that the weather during my stay was rather rainy and we didn't spend much time at the hotel, I would probably use the facility more. The animators are young and tried very hard. A big plus for the animators during the mini disco, who knew how to entertain the kids.

We stayed here at the end of February. The weather was lovely, and the staff were helpful. Our room was clean and suitable but dated. There were only two power sockets in the room. Ice from the machine in the lobby bar, hot drinks, and water machine. If you're all inclusive, you can help yourself to bottled water during lunch and evening meals from the fridge. Adult only pool is across the road, you need your room card to gain entrance, only for all-inclusive. Bus stop just over the road on the corner. Busses are frequent, you can catch another bus to most places the the main bus station. All day tickets from the shop back of the stairs, works out cheaper. A nice town if you take a still along the promenade, a few shops to browse in, and cafes to have a drink. There is not much variation with the meals. No allergen labels

The hotel is situated in an area of apartments and homes right next to the sea but no beach to speak of. Book a premium room with side sea view is advisable. Not easily negotiated with wheelchairs. Food O.K. but all fried meats are dry, as is fish. However stews, curries etc very tasty. English diets well catered for. Pastries better than average. Air Con in hotel rather poor but rooms O.K. bus route right outsde hotel to Santa Cruz or Candelabria, where you'll find an excellent Basilica; the main reason the area was developed. 8 Euro by Taxi if you want to go to Mass! Overall I would say it's 3 star reaching 4 in places. Staff very helpful. Very clean and good evening entertainment. I wouldn't say that it's worth the full rate but discounted prices worth serious consideration.

Just back from a fabulous fortnight as 5 adults at Punto Del Rey. Only 45 mins transfer from the airport. This hotel is amazing value for money - huge quantities and wide varieties of fresh and delicious food at every meal, something for everyone, with a different theme each evening. So many choices of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic, huge measures too. The staff are all lovely, the cleaning staff work their socks off and the whole place is spotlessly clean. There are many varied daily activities which are run by the animation team to keep you entertained, and the evening entertainment is really top quality - especially the professional acts which are bought in. We had Elvis, Soul Diva and Divalicious who were fabulous singers. The Tui rep organised us a couple of brilliant excursions and would highly recommend the Teide and the Loro Parque trips. Walk the 45 minutes in to Candalaria, it's a beautiful boardwalk, but the bus is really easy if you'd rather. All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel. Just one small disappointment to be aware of - the animation team though very hard workers, are roughyly 50% Spanish and 50% French. Their English is fabulous and everything is announced in all 3 languages, however there is a definite and very obvious bias towards the Spanish and French guests during the activities. The Spanish speaking team were all out for the Spanish guests, chatting away, ensuring winners and not involving the UK folks (or other nationalities) in the same way. And it was exactly the same for the activities run by the French guys! On the 14th, Bastille Day, hardly anything ran for the non French. You won't notice it if you're not one for joining the activities during the day - but we certainly got involved with them all, and this aspect of their bias did really disappoint. There was a lot of chat amongst the Brits about how obvious it was.

I stumbled across a last minute stay at the hotel for my friend and I. Wanting a quick get away to recharge without the kids before summer holidays, I was hoping for a relaxing stay with a clean room. Service - the customer service at this hotel is flawless. Even when there’s a language barrier the smiles and welcoming nature of staff always leaves you feeling good. The front of house team were a breath of fresh air and always so helpful. At times the staffing wasn’t sufficient but I put this down to peak time business and understand it can’t be accommodated 24/7. You just have to wait I guess. Upon arrival, we were very kindly left with a bottle of sparkling wine and some biscuits on arrival. I don’t drink, but my friend loved this. And I sure did enjoy my biscuits. Thank you, beautiful touch. All inclusive - although we had all inclusive after a day of breakfast, lunch and dinner my friend and I had to steer clear of lunch to ensure we could breathe comfortably and enjoy the dinner. The options are great. One slight feedback would be with regard to separation of foods/dietary requirements. Omelettes were made on the same equipment used to cook bacon; I couldn’t enjoy my usual holiday breakfast, omelette and fruits. Having said this, I still had an array of options. The food is constantly changed and kept fresh and no matter what time of service is, food looks clean and staff maintain the food looking appetising and appealing when on display. The restaurant staff are so efficient and welcoming. The dinner hostess is such a delight, so polite and welcoming and always wearing the biggest of smiles. From sides, starters to mains and deserts there’s just so much to choose from. The drinks options was one which I struggled with. I wasn’t comfortable with drinking water from the water dispenser and bottled water was only served at lunch and dinner. The hot drinks machine serves a mean coffee. I don’t drink alcohol but tent to enjoy the 0% beers which there wasn’t any of. Reflective of the nature of the hotel and its clientele - there isn’t such dress code at dinner but we still dressed up. Majority are very casual. Amenities - we enjoyed premium (look on website for more info, or ask at desk when checking in) which allows you to have water bottles and access to the solarium. The solarium boasts an infinity jacuzzi overlooking the sea. We used this service (9:30-17:30) daily. It was relaxing and quiet and exactly what we wanted as the main pools have a lot of music, customers, food; noise. This is an adult only section with a self service bar with soft drinks and a beer option. There is a toilet and showers but we didn’t use the toilet as we didn’t find it very clean and just took a walk back to the hotel as a break from the sun. A little note, it would be great for people to be requested with a sign to have a shower before entering the jacuzzi. I see this as communal etiquette. Sadly, I don’t remember a single person doing this; didn’t use the

Just returned from an 11 night stay with my partner and 3 daughters age 21, 16, 14. Ignore the negatives reviews lots of entertainment throughout the day and you can get the local bus into Santa Cruize or go exploring further afield if you want to. All inclusive included cava, spirits, cocktails and slush as well as soft drinks. You could also get crisps nuts and olives behind the bar. Food in the snack bar and restaurant was of good quality and plenty of choice even for the fussy eaters. Crepes available between 4pm and 6pm and are very popular. Ice cream always available as well as an ice cream machine that came out for a few days whilst there. Lots of regulars that are all very welcoming and friendly and happy to chat and give you advice. Rooms cleaned every day and the staff were very helpful. We had 2 rooms which were modern and clean and tidy and the showers were very powerful. The only negative would be the hotel needs more sun beds to be made available and the check in process takes a while if you are a big family. Overall we had a fantastic time and I would certainly say give it a try.

Had money stolen from my safe in locked room two days in a row, had to cancel my bank card as it was in the safe may have had details copied by thief. only people accessing room was myself and staff. Hotel didn’t care, manager didn’t even contact me. Filed a report with local police. Room keys had to be reset at least 2-3 times a day, bit of a nightmare when u are on 7th floor and can’t get in your room. Air conditioning stopped working, guy came up but it still wasn’t working. So hardly slept in the heat the last 2 days. Tried to make the best of it, hotel was clean, food a good variety and staff were friendly. Infinity pool was lovely and peaceful spent most of our time there. leaving positive thoughts to reflect the hard work the honest members of staff put in, if I hadn’t had a 3rd of my money stolen I would have left a good tip. There is another review on here saying they caught a staff member in their room unlocking their safe!

This hotel has a long way to go before it can truly be considered a 4-star establishment. The reception staff were consistently rude and seemed unprepared for their roles, which set a negative tone for our stay. One of the biggest frustrations was discovering that access to one of the pools and the jacuzzi—both heavily advertised—was restricted to “premium” guests only. I’ve stayed at many hotels and resorts around the world and have never encountered such a limitation without clear disclosure upfront. It felt misleading. Whenever we approached reception for assistance, we were either given incorrect information or told there would be an additional charge—even for something as minor as spare towels. This made us feel like we were being nickel-and-dimed throughout our stay. The buffet was another letdown. We stayed for five nights, and the breakfast and lunch options were exactly the same every day. The food was repetitive and just average. The one thing worth commending is the cleaning staff. They did an outstanding job with the daily refresh cleans and kept the facilities spotless. Their efforts did not go unnoticed. I attempted to raise these concerns with the staff manager, but they were unavailable during our stay. I sincerely hope senior management takes not only my feedback but the many similar reviews seriously and makes meaningful improvements. Lastly, please don’t advertise facilities that are not accessible to all guests unless clearly specified at the time of booking. It’s disappointing to feel misled by promotional images.
