We recently stayed at Whispering Palms - Candolim, Goa, and had a magical time. It was our first time in India and so we were a little anxious upon arrival, but we were immediately made to feel at ease by Manesha, who settled us in with her friendly and easy going manner. Our room was near to the pool, but with a balcony that overlooked the gardens. It gave a wonderful separation and access to a tranquil spot to relax. Room always clean and Ruzario and his team were great and always keen to check we were happy with everything when we saw them. Maybe slightly confusing as to what is free from the food and drink in the room and what was chargeable, so always worthwhile double checking if you have any concerns about having to pay on checkout. Food was always tasty and actually quite varied in the restaurant. Buffet style inside but with a couple of live cooking stations outside, which were a hit with us. Lovely inside bar which was nice and cool and good choice of drinks included in All Inclusive, including some Cocktails. The outdoor bar was manned by Arun and Harish for the early part of the day, they also look after the towels, sunbeds and parasols and are super friendly and helpful. The bar is then manned by Deepak and Sumit for the afternoon/evening, with assistance from Akash, Ranjan, Mohit and others. Deepak and Sumit are genuinely super friendly, attentive and helpful and so ***** with Manesha, really helped to make the holiday very special and extremely memorable. The hotel attracts Indian Guests, which is a positive sign for how the team are doing with the aims, a large group arrived and were sort of accommodate for some meals in the Goa Shack on site which helped with being able to find a table for mealtimes. There were a few instances where Indian guests unwittingly took chairs or sunbeds that were already taken whilst the guest was collecting food or drinks but those were few and far between. Potential for more guests than tables and chairs for meals and definitely not quite enough sunbeds. The majority of guests who wished to sit by the pool ensured they put towels on to the beds first thing in the morning. Overall our stay at Whispering Palms and our overall visit to Candolim and Goa was a triumph and I would thoroughly recommend both the hotel and the resort.
