We recently stayed at this hotel (last minute booking due to limited availability in Airlie beach during xmas period) and, unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations for this over rated 5 star hotel.
The cleanliness was disappointing. We found dust on the washing machine and noticed oil dripping down from the range hood filter—issues that clearly indicated a lack of attention to detail in cleaning and maintenance.
The check-in process was poorly communicated. We were not informed ahead of time that there would be no staff on-site after 5 pm. As a result, our luggage was left outside the reception area, which felt both unprofessional and unfriendly.
These two major issues left us feeling dissatisfied. Would not recommend!

Great stay but awful paint smell on first day
This accommodation is absolutely stunning. The view is so amazing and everything is great except for one thing. On our first day, as soon as we entered the room, we noticed an intense smell. We were told by concierge that it may be the common musty smell that they have in Queensland and that it’s normal because they had a lot of rain. The next day, she said she just remembered that the unit had just been painted so that’s what’s maybe causing the smell and that it’s normal.
The smell dramatically reduced the next day since we’ve left the windows open, but it was a little bit too late b ‘cause the smell on the first day already caused us some breathing issues and we got a cold as well. I guess they don’t always paint the room and this is a one off issue but I recommend that if you smell a really strong odour, just insist to be moved to another room especially if you are very sensitive to smell.

We loved the quiet location of the resort with easy access to the heart of Airlie. Our room had an incredible view over the ocean and was large for the family. The beds were very comfortable. The resorts gardens were well maintained. The pool was a great for families and loved the addition of the shade over it!

One of the best apartments we’ve ever stayed in with the most amazing views of the marina! Inside the apartment was clean, modern and just perfect! Kids absolutely loved the pool as well!
