The lobby looks great we thought empressve and stylish deco, quick check in and after a long day we were exhausted. The beds are not double but x2 singles pushed together with x2 single sheets hard ridge and space in the ***middle. *** That is the place you generally sleep on a double one would think! The flattest again single duveys and i wont mention the pillows Everything white felt a little like a empty jail that echoes. The plastic mat on the floor didn't help the cause either. Window with dirty looking flimsy curtains which look onto an ugly block of flats very close. Pillows flat no warmth we asked for a blanket and were told they never had any !!! Cold now and each to a single bed sleeping in our jackets was not fun and then the room next door decides to bath at something to one in the morning.....the pipes felt like they were in our room. Will see what the morning brings but won't be staying the rest of our stay like this. The mirror is on opposite side of the room and not sure how I will achieve drying hair in the morning. So make sure you check the bed situation and maybe pack a warm jacket just in case you need to sleep in it. We feel totally ripped off by zero help from anyone NOT A SINGLE SPARE BLANKET IN THE ENTIRE HOTEL this says a lot about a place. Don't be fooled by lovely entrance...the room we were in did not compare with zero style flair or practical thought. A mat next to bedside would be nice, cables from TV swinging down the walls and paint peeling off the furniture (desk) dirty looking curtains which you can't open as the block next door looks straight in .....no sleep cold awful 😖 Won't even talk about the water pipes when the room next to you runs there bath at 12.45 ....well let's say sleep won't be happening in this "boutique" lol hotel lol 3 stars must be given 1. By a man who doesn't blow dry his hair and doesn't need warmth to sleep

Comfortable place in the heart of Sea Point. Spacious room. Right on Regent Road, with shops, bars and restaurants all around. Very conveniently located - a MyCiTi bus stop is a few metres away, the beach and Sea Point promenade are only a block away, Clifton and Camps Bay are nearby on one side, and the city centre is close on the other side. Friendly, helpful staff. Wifi was ok but not fast. There were no extra blankets, nights can be a little chilly.

The location is great, lots of restaurants on the street, seemed safe. The accomodation is spacious, but very basic, value for money

We arrived at the hotel for the last two nights of our stay in Cape Town on the Easter long weekend. We booked the split level studio apartment with balcony overlooking the street. Upon arrival we were given a very poor basic, first floor, flat level apartment that overlooked the car park and smells from the restaurant vents below. It had a window in the bedroom that overlooked an inner courtyard with public access so anyone could look in. The blinds from the kitchen were broken and the place was dark and dingy - we have stayed in better hostels. We talked to reception staff who were not helpful or apologetic of our concerns and advised that they would need to speak to the manager the following day to see if we could be moved. At the time of speaking to reception another gentleman came and complained that he did not have the correct room either, so we were not alone! We could only conclude that due to the Easter holidays and that we booked in advance and got a cheaper rate, that they moved us in favour of a higher price tag! We were so disappointed as we had been looking forward to our stay. We ended up leaving the hotel and going elsewhere. This maybe a good place to stay if what you book is what you get but buyer beware that you may not get this at this hotel as the pictures do not reflect the standard shown.

I booked according to the photos on the website. Absolutely false advertising. Appalling. The furniture is damaged. Reception unprofessional. Insist on payment and could not even supply a 2-point charger. ‼️ spoke to the manager. Worst, is that he agrees with me regarding the standard. If I can, I will give this place a negative rating

Just stayed here for a day before the end of a trip! Great location near the water and restaurants in Sea Point. Convenient starting point if you want to spend time at the beaches. Spacious rooms and the balcony was a huge plus!

Front office and cleaning staff great. Room very average. Area noisy, but super quirky area with great restaurants. How does the owner live with himself/herself. Jarryds restaurant was doing renovations morning until late evening. APPALLING!! As far as I’m concerned, I deserve two nights refund. Be warned!!!!!

Location is great and the rooms are big! But I can’t say I would recommend it unless you are looking for basic accomodation on a tight budget and don’t want to go to a backpackers: Issues below: 1. anyone enquiring to stay, do call the hotel and ask if construction is still happening next door. It’s 9pm and the workmen are still busy. It’s extremely loud and I was told second floor is quiet. 2. Not all rooms have smart TVs, the ones that do you need your own DSTV/Netflix login details 3. No milk in the rooms for tea and coffee 4. The plug points are far from the bed, so no choice but to move the bed if you need your phone/laptop plugged in 5. Hot water ran out For the price I am sure you can find better in an Airbnb

Please no not be tempted by the cheap prices and excellent location, this is not a good place to stay and I would strongly advise that you pay more to stay in a secure, established chain hotel instead. Firstly, this is not a boutique hotel, it's more a few floors of very basic, scruffy self catering apartments above a boutique shop and decent restaurant. Secondly, they need to really sort out security: on our last night there was a very loud commotion outside our room followed by our neighbour smashing up his room and screaming. We called security, who took ages to arrive, didn't call the police when he claimed he had been mugged outside his room, and even let slip we had made the complaint. After they left, the neighbour made threats to us through the poor kitchen blind throughout the night. We have never been so scared in a hotel as he could have broken in, had a gun etc. In the morning we demanded security escort us out but didn't get so much as an apology. It's disgraceful. If he got mugged in the hotel, what were security doing? Why wasn't a clearly agitated and violent person removed from the premises? And why was no apology offered? Car parking is also supposedly secure but that wasn't explained until after out first night and every time we came back, the gate was wide open. Waste of money really. We have learnt our lesson and next time will pay more for a proper and secure hotel.
