We loved staying in our little piece of rainforest for three nights at Kuranda bungalows . Our bedroom was inside but kitchen, dining room, toilet and shower was outside open to the rainforest.***e and Leigh were wonderful hosts. Thankyou The highlights were two Cape tribulation sunrises and swimming at Mason's swimming hole

***e and Lee are outstanding hosts, full of information and stories. We had 4 nights in the treehouse and explored the property every day and most nights. Fireflies! The creek is full of life at night. Falling asleep to the sound of the creek and critters was magical.

This is a unique place to experience the rainforest and get away from it all. The accommodation is really unique but has everything you need to make it comfy like a great bed, tea and coffee, hot showers and a small fridge in each room. ***e and Lee are loving their new life onsite and are working hard to show off the uniqueness of this property which was made from hand and has so many fun and quirky statues onsite. They love a chat with guests and the opportunity to show off their piece of paradise. My 13yo son wasn’t sure at first but when he met the owners and their dogs and realised he could get wifi on the reception couch he enjoyed it 😆 Walking around the property in the day and night are great experiences to appreciate all that’s there. During our stay we did a full day 4wd trip with a local, Kane, the zip lining and ocean safari snorkelling (always go in the morning for better weather). Stop in Mossman to get supplies at Woolies on the way up. ***e will give you the tips when you book. We actually stayed in 2 rooms onsite. The bungalow is smaller (but newer) and as a teenager and mum travelling, they kindly moved us to the larger room the next day which was also great. We looked at the treehouse too! That’s fun and a work of art in itself! Thanks ***e and Lee, we appreciated your warm welcome and James misses Allota already. Em&James. 😀

We stayed in the "treehouse" room, which I'd definitely recommend if it is available. A little like "glamping" - very sound structure but was open to the forest on the upper sides, very clean and lovely, surrounded by beautiful trees and could hear so many birds. Outdoor shower but secluded and private. The owner was friendly and helpful, even took us on a guided walk around the property, discussing the rainforest plants and the quirky sculptures throughout. Although there was a small kitchen in the treehouse, we mostly ate nearby as several decent restaurants/cafes in Cape Trib

We loved our 2 night stay in the cabin. With our love for camping and nature it was a wonderful mix of feeling like we upgraded and treated ourselves to some nights away from the swag. The outdoor kitchen enabled us to be self sufficient and cooked our own meals during our stay with it being incredibly clean considering it was exposed. There is a private creek for guests to swim in & a sculpture walk through the forest. With the accommodation being situated at the north end of cape Tribulation, it meant that many amenities were close by like Emmagen creek for a swim, coffee in the mornings, broad walks, the beach and wood fire pizzas at a local camp ground. ***e was a lovely host who made us feel comfortable from the moment we got there but gave us enough space and privacy. We’ll be staying again.

We were lost for words about how incredible this place was. It truly embraced the nature of the Daintree Rainforest surrounding the area with the creatures just wondering around us without either the residents or the wildlife disturbing the other party. The bed was comfy, the sounds of nature were just beautiful, no noises of traffic or light pollution anywhere. It was just peaceful and we loved it. The water comes from the streams located nearby so you can rely on it coming from a good source. It's amazing to think that one person built all of the rooms here in addition to the 100+ unique statues onsite. You have to stay here when visiting North East Australia. A simple fact. If you don't, you'll regret it.

Such a beautiful place in Cape Tribulation. It's so unique and delightful. We had a few friendly brush turkeys roaming around with the orange footed scrubfouls and a resident tree kangaroo . Whish we could've stayed longer.

Stayed in the Treehouse for 4 nights. It was a great experience. This room and kitchen is open air so you may encounter some wildlife. But being upstairs it is true that there aren’t mosquitos. Didn’t need repellent at all. I think leaving the fan on helps keep bugs away. Loved the downstairs open air shower overlooking jungle. Unexpectedly there was phone reception too. I spent just a few minutes sitting downstairs reading and on cue a cassowary appeared. It was wonderful he stayed for about 15 minutes just eating and grooming before wandering off. An amazing experience. If you want to be in tune with nature this is a unique place to stay.

Tucked away at the end of the road is this home away from home run by Lee and ***e. Individual self-catering rooms/chalets set deep in the rainforest with walking trails punctuated by oriental sculptures made by a previous owner. There’s no mains electricity this far out but solar power provides for all needs including WiFi.
