The best thing about this hotel is the grounds. The amount of work that must go into maintaining the stunning cactus gardens is unreal. It was like staying in your own personal botanical gardens. It was so peacful to sit in the sun after breakfast and listen to all the bird song. The room was simple and stylishly decorated with enough room for 2 people. It was very dark and quiet so we slept really well. We had dinner in their restaurant, as well as breakfast. All the food was really delicious and well cooked and the staff were really friendly and attentive. We only stayed 1 night on our way along the garden route and we didnt realise until we got there that there was so much to do in the local area. I would definitly go back and explore this part of SA a bit more.

The restaurant was so disappointing Very high prices for nothing special Most expensive chicken schnitzel I’ve ever had R265 for 2 small pieces The service was very good

A lovely stay at Mo & Rose
Great stay. The gardens are stunning. The pool was lovely & we were very comfortable in our room. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant here and breakfast was also very good.
All of the team we met were exceptional - friendly & great at their jobs.
My only regret is that we did not stay longer than one night. We will be back!

We had a one night stay. What an absolute stunning place. Amazing staff, Sipo in reception was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and beautiful. Fireplace going to keep warm. We had everything we need. Amazing food (dinner and breakfast) at the Succulent restaurant with amazing service from our waitress and kitchen staff. We had the most beautiful views of the garden as well as the surrounding mountains. Overall very happy. Thank you we will be there again!

Great weekend getaway. Peaceful surroundings, the gardens are beautiful. Rooms equipped with everything one needs, and a lovely fireplace to snuggle up to with a glass or 3 of wine. Garden view room was just what I needed. Thanks to the team

Beautiful guest house with the most spectacular gardens I have ever seen. The rooms are comfy and I like that they provide wall units and bug spray. Dinners and breakfast yum! We went to The Small Hotel in town for lunch and I preferred the space of Mo and Rose. Peter at reception was great and does everything for you and is very calm. I would say though it lacks having the owner onsite and seeing what touches can be added- like a glass of something for new years ( or even a sign / crackers or something !) . The towels were musty and even though put on floor not changed. The fridge was making a noise and when we turned it off it leaked onto carpet and stank up the whole unit. You could see many people have done this in the past … so maybe move the carpet ?
