I think giving three points is too much!
You need to wear slippers or shoe covers when entering the hotel, but the shoe covers are all old and rotten. It's a long way from the front desk to the room. You can drag the dirty suitcases at will, but you can't wear shoes. I don't understand.
The room is very small, and the hot water is from an electric water heater, which is not enough for one person to wash at a time. The small table is shaky and the hygiene is hard to describe. Alas

Interesting place. It’s very basic , little hotel, almost an hostel in the middle of nowhere. The personnel is friendly and helpful. The food is ok. Good location for visiting the stunning Landmannalaugar natural reserve

We loved our stay here!! Hotelrooms are mini but staff is super nice. The hospitality of the Polish staff is beyond anything we have had. Food is delicious too. And we could use the sauna till around 22h.

Rooms are good with private bathroom. We could also enjoy the sauna (shower in the sauna was not optimal as it was flooding the floor). Had a nice dinner with very good portion.
