B&B Hotel Castres Centre Gambetta

Very happy with the person who manages this hotel and who was able to listen to me, in fact there was a problem when picking up the room, the reservation code was not valid, so I asked for assistance, and there was a surprise: I had to pay for the room to get the code that allowed me to access the hotel, but this room was already paid for via Trip.com, with supporting proof since Trip.com had taken the amount from Paypal and the amount was also withdrawn from my bank account, in short, if the person who takes care of this hotel had not offered me an alternative, well I would have had to sleep in my car, so I don't know his first name but I thank him again. As for the hotel, I recommend it, right in the city center with grader underground parking, very clean hotel, spacious room level, and comfortable bedding, top staff, nothing to add.

Very warm welcome, friendly staff, clean and practical accommodation. We took a room for 2 and we didn't step on each other's toes. However, the window handles should be found at reception because travelers leave with them... Result: no handle on the window, thanks to the good manners of previous travelers.

After driving 600 km, I expected a minimally professional welcome. Of course, there were people, there were 2 women at reception but only one was working (if you can call that working because she was just chatting to her colleague who must have been paid to be an extra). After 20 minutes of waiting we were treated very coldly as if we were not welcome. After going up the floors with our suitcases the code for the front door of the room did not work, my father then decided to call reception, to which she replied that he had to go down (not very professional knowing that she is an elderly person compared to one of the reception secretaries sitting behind her colleague watching her work). After going down myself we realize that there was a problem with the reservation, so we ask if it was possible to reserve another room, to which the secretaries tell us that there is no more room. In the meantime I look on the reservation sites (Booking and Tripadvisor) which offered me rooms available at this hotel, but the height of it all is that less than 2 minutes later, 2 (supposed) acquaintances of the secretary arrive and ask if there are rooms available for 2 to which the hotel staff responds with a big smile that she should be able to arrange to find them a room. We were clearly not welcome. Fortunately, the Castres friendliness is not limited to these two people, we very quickly found another hotel where everything went very well (and cheaper).
