This is a home away from home, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom semi detached house with a shared pool and laundry services. (There are 2 separate rental homes on the same area of land). There is a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area with comfortable seating, 80mbps internet throughout, 130+ Claro tv channels. Situated in central Catarina you are 2 minutes walk from the mirador and the local bars and restaurants. This is a traditional Nicaraguan town that over looks the Laguna de Apoyo, with cool refreshing breezes from the Laguna as well as magnificent views it is always a refreshing place to visit. The town is filled with beautiful gardens, artisan craft vendors, small family run stores, bars and restaurants and beautiful scenery and wildlife to while away your time when you are here. Situated on the rim of a crater volcano 527m above sea level, so whilst having almost 365 days of sunshine it is also cooler than many areas in Nicaragua. It is a very green and lush area with lots of wildlife and areas to walk and you can often to see several types of monkeys, butterflies, and many different types of birds. Catarina is an easy town to live in if you do not have a car as everything is accessible on foot, there is an also an abundance of tuk tuks (moto taxis) that you can take very cheaply around the town. There are excellent transport links from the entrance of the town (where the round about is) to all over the country via bus. Masaya is 10 minutes away with its bustling local and artisanal markets as well as bigger stores for larger shopping. Masaya Volcano 20 minutes. Laguna de Apoyo 15 minutes. Historic Granada is 20 minutes away with its beautiful colonial architecture. Managua the capital is 40 minutes away.
