Residence Empire

This is a scam do not stay there, the reality is nothing compared to the fake pictures on their website. I had booked a "bilocale" apartment for 3 people for 10 nights, booking was made via email where it was agreed for 3 people and parking was complimentary but when we arrived the manager insisted we only booked for 2 and came back on his agreement about parking. We paid a deposit when booking and the rest as soon as we arrived. He showed us the apartment which was completely dirty, the kitchen was completely filthy outside and inside, the kitchen table had not been cleaned, there were stains, the kitchen chairs were rusty, the sofa bed had dirty pours (where I was supposed to sleep), the bed sheets were not cleaned, the floor and windows were dirty and the bathroom had not been cleaned either. The apartment smelled of cigarette and damp, he only switched on the heating when we entered. There was a hole in the wardrobe that was filled with some paper, it looked disgusting. We complained about the cleanliness and he argued the apartment was cleaned and that the cleaning lady would come back 7 days later so in the meantime he expected us either to stay in a filthy apartment or to clean it ourselves. It was so disgusting that we decided not to stay and he refused to reimburse the deposit (he only reimbursed the additional amount we paid on the day). The manager is not honest and was really rude when talking to us (probably as we are tourists) and will rent you anything, also the building does not look safe and is not well maintained.
