We stayed 10 days at the Bay Towers and had a great time. Our daughter played with the on-site puppy, Wonder, non stop and took him kayaking off the dock. We enjoyed the quiet of staying on the North side and had no issues getting back/forth on the Split to split. Get a punch card - we used exactly 30 trips over the time we were there. Everyone was helpful with recommendations for places to eat or shop for groceries or things to see and do. Having the full kitchen was great and the property was immaculate. Gregg was kind enough to give us a North island golf cart tour and we checked out Bliss beach. We are looking forward to the expansion they are planning and the new amazing pool. We will be back!

This was the most beautiful resort. Our first time in Belize and it was everything we hoped for. Our place was so clean, modern, and equipped with everything we needed for our seven day stay. Greg, the owner was so fun and gave us great recommendations on what to see and do. Amazing resort, sunsets, and fresh delicious lobster. We can't wait to go back and stay there again!

Wonderful place to get away from it all! Our room was kept sparkling clean. The owner Greg was so friendly, and full of suggestions for things to do and places to go. He was super accommodating for anything we needed. The sunsets here are amazing!

This place was awesome! The American owner is super friendly and informative on what the area offers! Compared to the other decent places on the North Island, it was priced 30-40% less and you can actually enjoy the beach and ocean since it had no sargassum which ruined our stay a year earlier at Blue Zen. If you go to Belize, you want to be able to walk out your door and enjoy the beach and ocean, right???

Our stay couldn't have been better! The property was amazing - located right on the water with a beach/dock and pool to swim, games the kids loved (corn hole, basketball, volleyball, checkers, etc.), and a path over to the property next door where we had dinner one night. There are four floors, each having its own apartment-type accommodations. We had the fourth floor and had 360 degree views of the water. There are two balconies which we really enjoyed hanging out on. The inside of our place was very comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. Being a family of five we really enjoyed having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Rene, who owns Bay Towers, was amazing! He was always finding ways to make our stay even better, such as giving us a loaf of delicious homemade banana bread when we arrived which we enjoyed having for breakfast each morning during our stay. Rene was also always more than happy to take us in his boat to the south side of the island, which is where most of the restaurants/shops are. We really enjoyed staying on the north side of the island though because it was quieter and more relaxing. It was never an issue getting a ride into town when we wanted one. I look forward to one day coming back to Bay Towers again!

For our second trip to Caye Caulker, we wanted to try out the north side of the island on the other side of “The Split.” I was a little reluctant as I wondered if being north of the split would hamper our ability to go into town when we wanted/ needed to. We took a chance and are super happy that we chose the Bay Towers. The hotel is a very short walk north from the split. The hotel and surrounded grounds are very well kept, secluded, and for the most part, quiet (especially at night). The only source of any noise came in the form of afternoon music from the Koko King beach club next door. However, we didn’t find it much of a bother as it wasn’t that loud over at the Bay Towers and we were out doing things most afternoons anyway. Our room was very nice and had a small kitchen with basic dishes and supplies. The hotel has a nice dock and the surrounding lagoon area is nice for a swim and even some decent snorkeling if you do a bit of swimming the area to find things on the bottom that attract the marine life (look for the discarded park benches, large storage shelf, and conch shell graveyard for a decent collection of various tropical fish and maybe even a large ray). The grounds have a large sandy “ yard” with a beach volleyball court and plenty of space to do whatever (we used it as an outdoor gym for improvised morning workouts). The hotel also has inner tubes, kayaks, and bicycles that are free to use. The pool is very nice and refreshing. For $7 Belize ($3.50 USD), Rene provided our room with a 5 gallon water jug and dispenser. Also, if you want a little more socializing or a drink or two, just wander next door to the Koko King. As far as getting back and forth across the split, it WAS NOT a problem. The Split to Split ferry runs early morning to late evening ( we used it as late as after 8 pm). It’s a pontoon boat with a friendly operator. Just wave him down from either side of the split. The ride costs $2.50 USD per person. However, we didn’t need to use the ferry much because Rene (Bay Towers owner) offers free boat trips back and forth in the morning, afternoon, and evening. He is also willing to drop you off or pick you up at other times. All we had to do was let him know in advance. We communicated with him via text message and he was always responsive. Speaking of Rene, he and his staff were simply awesome. They have quarters on site and they were always looking for ways to attend to their guest’s needs. It’s hard to think of everything they did, but examples were a small New Years party for the guests with drinks and snacks, frequent rides back and forth across the split, digging out some dumbbell weights when they saw us working out, just sending us messages to check on us when they hadn’t seen us in a while, and arranging a golf cart taxi for us for departure so we didn’t have to lug all of our scuba gear to the ferry. I can’t say enough good things about Rene and his staff, and we will definitely stay at the Bay Towers aga

Wonderful place. Nice swimming pool which we didn’t use because we were on the reef both days. Plenty of fish to see just under the dock at Bay Towers. Spectacular view of the bay from the 3rd floor. You can actually see the ocean (and sunrise) from the front side of the unit but in the distance with some non-photogenic stuff in the foreground. Two beautiful bedrooms. Lovely protected terrace facing the bay. Immaculate brand new condition. TV is on a funk pedestal that lets you watch in the living room or swing it around to watch from the bedroom. Although we initially thought being on the North Caye would be a hassle it turned out to be just fine. Nice getting away from the “hectic’ South Caye. Our snorkel tour even picked us up “curbside” at the dock. Big thumbs up to stay at Bay Towers. Dock side

What can I say from the moment we reached the island of Caye Caulker. They had a taxi waiting for us to go to the docks where we were greeted by the owner, Mr Renee. It only takes a 5 minute boat ride to the hotel. The very blue and beautiful ocean was so breathtaking. So, as soon as we step on the grounds of the hotel, i know I were in paradise. It was well kept getting up to our room. It was a wonderful surprise when we got to our room, which was a 2 bedroom, and it was very spacious and beautiful. And very clean. The furniture and the appliances are modern and up-to-date. From overlooking the balcony was an amazing pool. Mr Renee went above and beyond to be a gracious host with his wonderful wife Maria and his attendant Mr Walter was also very helpful ohh don't forget the maid i forget her name so sorry she had the place well cleaned, every day thanks u! I will definitely come back here again when I tell you people if you have never been to Belize. Pleased definitely stay at the BAY TOWER HOTEL IN CAYE CAULKER. YOU WILL BE pleasantly surprised.

Generally, the location and room were excellent. We stayed in the Crab Pad overlooking the pool, which was a peaceful and scenic location throughout our stay. Pool was little used, which was surprising given how nice it is. You could see the ocean from the room, and although we weren't lucky enough to see any amazing sunsets the potential is certainly there. The room itself was by far the nicest we had in Belize. It's essentially a fully-furnished apartment, which we felt was great value for money at the price point. Bed was extremely comfortable for someone that has back issues and prefers firmness. We also made use of the bikes to explore the north side of Caye Caulker. The dock and sea were great for swimming and relaxing. The hotel is not full-service, but you are very close to El Ben's restaurant (lovely ambiance and good breakfasts) and the Split. Get a "frequent flyer" punchcard from the Split Ferry if you want to travel back and forth from the main areas of Caye Caulker. Other reviews will have pointed it out, but the legendary Rene is no longer running this hotel. The new ownership seems fine enough, but tend to be brusque and focused on new construction projects happening on-site. As an example, their website had advertised having cable TV. Not only was there not cable TV, but the TV was unable to connect to the internet while we were then. We asked for assistance a couple of times to shrugs from the owner and staff. Not a huge issue, but hopefully they will settle a bit more into their role as proprietors. On the whole, though, a very comfortable and scenic locale that strikes a good balance between quiet and convenience.
