Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

We had booked this hotel for our boys team state baseball tournament. Overall good hotel, boys loved the pool. Breakfast was good. Waffles were the best part. Carpet looks newer. Just a couple things in our room 317-there was a sticky spot on carpet in between the 2 double beds that I kept forgetting about until I stepped in it. The room itself was clean and the bedspreads and room itself was updated to look more modern from the not so appeasing hotel pics I saw online. The canvas paintings above the bed were beautiful and modern. The bathroom doesn't have a vent & is smaller. The tub wasn't overly clean. Almost seems like the maintenance rolled a type of white paint over the floor of the tub that is starting to fade. The shower curtain had a few spots on it--but I've never been a fan of hotels with these cloth shower curtains that are used for everyone and probably rarely get removed and washed. The faucet in the bathroom sink had no pressure--just like 4 sprays of water-made it hard to brush your teeth. It's probably something that the maintenance man could fix but I wasn't there long enough to ask about it. The hotel staff came in every day to remove our old towels on the floor and replaced very neatly with new towels. They removed the garbage. It was nice to come back to the hotel to this cleanliness from the hotel staff. Overall it was a good stay. They even had a washer and dryer (bring quarters) to do a load of the teams uniforms for the 3rd day of tournament.

The staff was very friendly in every interaction I had with them. The location is very convenient, with plenty of amenities just a short drive away.

Room was quiet w air conditioning on TV remotes didn’t work even after changing w desk 2 times. Finally switched room for our last night there.

I will never stay here. I had a reservation for a room and upon arrival, I got an emergency call informing me I had to return home immediately. I had checked in, gone into the room for less than five minutes and didn’t touch anything. I went to the front desk to explain what happened and they declined to refund any of my money. Also, the hotel was unclean and there were people loitering in the parking lot and drinking alcohol. It was not a safe hotel at all. Awful. Do not recommend if you value your safety and if you have an emergency and need to leave, you will lose all your money. ******* was not able to help me get my money back either.

Previous customer put a rain cap over the fire detector and I was charged and kept my deposit. Making a non-smoker infamously mad. The lady with white hair at the front desk is a witch

Usually a great stay in Cedar Rapids, rough crowd on the weekend, someone thew up right in front of the back door to the parking lot, a little loud with partying
