Booked last minute. Think we were only guests, free parking. 1. Location, right on beach. 2. Clean. We only stayed one night , left early - was really here just to do a flamingoes tour but could have easily spent two nights. Location was great. Just outside hotel, on tge beach they have made a relaxing area. I would recommend for a one or two night stay. Glad we changed our plans to come here.

Simple and welcoming
Simple , very clean, comfortable small hotel on a beautiful quiet beach. Our second time staying here and we will be back again. Rooms have a small fridge/freezer, clean bathroom, comfortable bed, fan and a/c. There are lounge chairs and palaplas on the sand. Very quiet and relaxing .

San Julio Hotel hotel may be one of the better best value properties in Celestun. Great location. Super clean. Right on the beach. Mini fridge. No hot water in the room and low water pressure and if these are not important to you then definitely stay here.

Beach hotel was nice in the small town and just a few blocks away from the town square. Would like to have a broom to sweep up the little bit of sand we brought in. Air conditioner and fan were great since it was still hot at night.

While the room had been renovated and was comfortable except for no hot wat in the shower it was the outside area was the most disappointing - a couple of broken and ripped deck chairs and dirty plastic chairs the only option to sit on the beach and no other options - not a relaxing beach option.

If you are looking for a more traditional beach break I would suggest doing some more research into Celestun. The hotel whilst the room was renovated and very clean - minus the lack of hot water in the shower - its the outside areas that disappointed - a couple of broken deck chairs and dirty plastic chairs were the only options to relax outside and on the beach and the area wasn't clean with a lot of construction debris. I hope this improves when the renovations are done.
