The grounds and drive into the Manor are beautiful and the interior is quaint. All the staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming. The chef is obviously talented and his menu has a great selection of well executed dishes. Even the breakfast is excellent. The wine list is decent and reasonably priced. The bar area is nice relaxing space but as the weather was fantastic, we took advantage of the outside terrace area. The owners deserve great credit for creating such a great ambience and pushing such high standards.

This was our fifth annual Group visit to Plumber Manor and it was fully up to the standard of previous years and enjoyed by us all as it was in the years gone by. Excellent rooms and our reunion Dinner and Wines a triumph. We were looked after by helpful and attentive Staff and all this in beautiful surroundings. A thoroughly appreciated occasion.

A wonderful break at this quintessentially English country Hotel. Drinks on the terrace, followed by sumptuous dinner, a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed in a delightful room, and a full english breakfast before departure. Whats not to like. Excellent

A perfect haven of peace and tranquillity. Lovely staff, lovely food, just perfect. Second visit in a month forgot to mention the welcome like joining a family home from an age gone by. Just trying to persuade the family to tell me the date for, I hope, the next visit. Thank you, thank you.

I stayed overnight at Plumber Manor after taking part in the Sturminster Newton Literary Festival - I had decided to treat myself. I was treated fantastically by everyone, from the owners to the wonderful ladies in the restaurant. The food was exquisite, the gardens are beautiful and my room had a wonderful window seat and view. I would definitely recommend this hotel and can't wait for my next visit!

This was our second visit because we enjoyed our first one so much and wanted to stay a bit longer. Three days feels like the perfect length of stay for a total relax in such a beautiful place with the best of Dorset all around you.The staff are lovely and the restaurant is consistently of a very high quality. A great wine choice without the ridiculous prices that regularly appear in most restaurants. We will definitely be back to try one of the garden rooms.

Plumber Manor is quite simply the best hotel we know. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the house and gardens are magical. It feels like you are staying with old friends. From Sturminster Newton you have access to some of Dorset’s most interesting places. Stay at Plumber Manor!
