We were disappointed with our stay at the Courtyard in S.L.P. We chose this property based on its location relative to our activities in the city. We booked on the Marriott website a corner room on 5th floor or above. When we checked in, we got a standard room down on the 3rd floor. You can hear street noise in the room, such as train horns, jackhammers from nearby construction, and cars going by on the adjacent carretera 57. The equipment in the gym was not adequate. The elliptical machine was wobbly, and the strength training equipment was very limited. Positives are that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. But the overall value for the relatively high room rate compared to other hotels in the area is not there.

I was expecting to have an open buffet from Monday thru Friday, but when I went to the restaurant the first day (Monday) they told me that due to the low capacity of the hotel they would not open the buffet just order with menu, then following days, the meals were not to warm and not well cooked, no flavor, orange juice was not fresh, etc., it was very disappointed to have this kind of restaurant, then, restaurant closed in the nights, no amenities for kids such as Xbox, etc., I will not take this hotel next time.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Very frustrating stay at this hotel. The hotel itself is fine. Nothing extraordinary, nothing awful except for the billing. I am a platinum Marriott member so this is not my first hotel stay. The price quoted on the Bonvoy app was not honored. The hotel chooses their own exchange rate, not the official rate and therefore the price difference. The official rate is 18 pesos to the dollar and the courtyard chose 21 to the dollar resulting in an increased total. I spoke with the manager to no avail and I have spoken with corporate Marriott. I am told that international hotels can use whatever rate they want. Seems totally unfair to me. Could they have chosen 36 pesos to the dollar resulting in a rate twice what I was quoted. Furious with the management of this hotel. How can one have any idea what they will ultimately pay at a hotel if this bait and switch practice is allowed.
