Our adorable cabin is perfect for couples, friends'-weekends or family stays. Enjoy year-round fun in the Sierras. Excellent location in the heart of Blue Lake Springs, across the street from the 8th hole of Sequoia Woods Golf Club and about a half mile from both private lakes. Access to Snowflake Lodge resort-style recreation area with a guest fee. Quick hop to HWY 4- and 5-min drive to Big Trees, 15 minutes to Murphy's 30 min to Bear Valley and 1 hour to Columbia Historical Park. Paved driveway with level step-free entry to the home. Living area, bedroom, bathroom, deck access on main floor.The space:Freshly updated and comfortably appointed, our cabin provides the necessities for a couple nights, or a couple weeks. We especially love how the big sunlit windows in the living room overlook the forest. Step out onto the expansive deck for morning coffee in the filtered sunlight or enjoy afternoon beverages on the shady deck while BBQing your favorite meals. Explore the half acre forest of oaks and pines, keeping an eye out for the herd of 8 bucks or even the three bears we spotted when we first moved in.While there is plenty of room downstairs for fun and games, we appreciate how all three bedrooms offer space for folks to spread out and refresh for the next day’s adventures.A wide path leads down through the half acre forested property toward the golf course and picturesque walks around both lakes. Enjoy drinks at Sequoia Woods or meals at Snowflake Lodge, both in easy walking distance, or stay home and create your own beautiful meals with our well- appointed kitchen.A short drive to town offers several dining and boutique shopping options or additional hikes, water and snow adventures. Additionally, Calaveras County offers endless opportunities to explore beautiful wineries and attend local concerts, music festivals, street fairs and artisan craft markets.The cabin comfortably accommodates 1-8 guests.Main floor: Main bedroom w/ medium plush mattress and adjustable frame, 1 full bathroom (with bathtub), kitchen, dining, family room, and deck all accessible from main floor.Upstairs: Full bathroom (with bathtub). The "Forest Room" offers plush memory foam queen bed. The "River Room" offers a king bed and a bunk bed, all with memory foam mattresses. This room is perfect for the kids' hangout.Remote work should be a breeze with the fastest Wi-Fi available and an adjustable sitting/standing deck, and 31.5 inch monitor.Guest accessGuest have access to the entire cabin with the exception of a locked storage closet.Other things to noteThe TV is a Smart TV which has apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Hulu, Disney+. There's a kitchen that is equipped for all your cooking desires, the beds are made and ready to go upon your arrival, cushy bath towels, and so much more. There's three private bedrooms. The great room has a great queen sleeper bed that has the best bedtime views in the entire cabin.Guest accessThe cabin is open for your enjoyment. We do ask that you are respectful and replace items in the condition in which they were found.Other things to noteWe will be sending a comprehensive cabin booklet that gives instructions, tips and recommendations for the cabin and local area.Sunny Bear Chalet is part of Blue Lake Springs. One of the Sierra's most premier HOA's. During the summer there's a pool, basketball, tennis, shuffle board, and so much more available to guests. If a guest is interested in using these amenities (which are only available during the summer), guest will need to purchase guest passes directly from BLS HOA. Rates are typically $15/ guest/ day and are subject to change. Pet Policy:- Dogs only- Maximum of two dogs- Pets cannot be left unattended at the cabin- No pets on furniture- Please provide your own towels to wipe off paws and clean off all debris prior to entering cabin- Use caution letting your pet outside. Go for a hike to the White Pine lake, then enjoy hot chocolate (in the wintertime) or ice cream (during the summer time) served at the Warming Hut during business hours. Big Trees Market is also nearby and is fully stocked.
