Crowne Plaza CHAOZHOU RIVERSIDE by IHG

There was no conditioner, which was an oversight during the room check. I washed my hair in the morning and it got all tangled without conditioner, haha. The bedding was fine, but the bath towels were a bit old. On the 39th floor, there was no one to guide us, so we took the wrong elevator. We only found out after asking. There were many staff members, but no one to direct guests.

The Crowne Plaza Chaozhou is managed by IHG, and the service was excellent. We were upgraded to a sea view room, which was much more comfortable than our stay at the Marriott in Shantou. I also felt the breakfast was better here. Just my personal opinion!

Our butler, Ms. Beverly, was incredibly thoughtful and went above and beyond for us. It was a very satisfying stay! She actively helped with all my requests and even gave the children fridge magnets and small toys, which they absolutely loved. All the staff were very diligent and responsible. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's a six-minute taxi ride to the old street, and very affordable. Compared to a B&B, you get hotel-level service here.

I recently took my 80-year-old mother on a family trip, and we stayed at the Tengrui Crowne Plaza Hotel for two nights. Overall, our experience was excellent and we were very satisfied! The hotel's location is superb. Our high-floor river view room offered expansive views, with a floor-to-ceiling window directly facing the Han River and Guangji Bridge. In the evening, we enjoyed breathtaking river scenery and a captivating light show. Even the Thai Buddhist Temple nestled in the distant mountains was visible, making for a truly delightful landscape. The room itself was clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding and excellent soundproofing, ensuring my mother had a peaceful and restful sleep. The dining experience was fantastic. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, featuring authentic Chaoshan粿条汤 (kway teow soup) and local specialty snacks, all with a light flavor profile perfect for seniors. The weekend buffet dinner offered fresh seafood, authentic Chaozhou braised dishes, and special stir-fries, all enjoyed in a riverside setting that created a wonderful ambiance. The hotel staff provided thoughtful and attentive service, and their demeanor was gentle. Getting around to the ancient city, Paifang Street, and West Lake was incredibly convenient, with a short taxi ride taking just a few minutes, saving us from any travel fatigue. The hardware facilities are well-equipped, including a gym and resting areas. The overall amenities are mature, making it very suitable for family wellness trips. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Chaozhou, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling with elderly family members!

They upgraded me to a room with a view of Guangji Bridge, and the view was exactly as pictured. However, the room had a strong cigarette smell, felt damp, and was very dim. Overall, it wasn't worth the price. I stayed one night each in Shantou, Chaozhou, and Jieyang, and this hotel was the most expensive yet the most disappointing.

The hotel's location is great, right in the city center. The river view room offers fantastic scenery! Unfortunately, I couldn't book a room with a view of Guangji Bridge. It's been raining in Shantou these past two days, but the hotel staff were all very proactive in getting us umbrellas, and their service attitude was excellent!

Extremely satisfied! The unbeatable river view offers a panoramic sight of Guangji Bridge's opening, closing, and light show. Absolutely amazing! The hotel staff were also incredibly nice and enthusiastic. Highly recommend staying here!

Staying at the Crowne Plaza Chaozhou Tengrui was an absolute delight! The deluxe river-view king room offered an incredible panorama; waking up to lush green mountains right outside my window was instantly relaxing. The hotel facilities are brand new, the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the bathroom fixtures were top-notch. The service was impeccable from start to finish – every staff member, from the front desk to housekeeping, was warm, attentive, and responsive, making me feel truly valued. Overall cleanliness was excellent; while there were one or two tiny details that could be improved, it didn't detract from a perfect experience. The location is also fantastic, making it easy to get to the Ancient City and the food streets. This stay far exceeded my expectations and offered excellent value for money. I can't wait to recommend it to friends, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I'm in Chaozhou! 🏔️🌟
