We stayed at the Bridge Street Inn in Charlevoix for four nights the week of July 4th. While the streets were filled with people and cars, the Inn was a place of peace and serenity. The Inn was built around 1895 and has been well cared for. There is parking in the driveway and on the street. Micky, the owner and chef, greeted us upon our arrival and showed us our room. We stayed in the Lake Breeze suite with a separate bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. The rooms were filled with antiques and furnishings one would expect from the period. The bathroom was small, but adequate. The shower was hot, the towels were soft, and the bedding was excellent. All windows are screened, so they can be opened for fresh air when the A/C is not in use. Mickey served wines, cheeses, and snacks every evening at 5 PM either on the large wrap around porch or in the dining room. But be prepared for spectacular breakfasts! He served breakfast everyday at 8:30 AM. Each day we started with a freshly baked pastry filled with seasonal fruit or something unique like a broiled orange half with cinnamon and amaretto. That was followed by an egg dish like Eggs Benedict or "Italian" stuffed French Toast. Every day had a different menu. Lots of great coffee. You could not have a finer breakfast at a five star restaurant! In addition, there was coffee or tea available throughout the day, as well as bottled water. The Bridge Street Inn has a great location, walkable to the beaches, downtown, and to the marina. The owner/chef is wonderful and easy to work with, the building is clean and comfortable. We will certainly be back!

We picked this place because it was close to town and we could walk to everything. We had a good stay. I do think we had one of the smallest rooms in the house (evening glow). There was no seating area besides the bed, only a couple outlets and they were used by lamps except for the bathroom. No mini fridge to store drinks or leftovers. I was a little shocked at the old rusty, dated sink in the bathroom. That could easily be replaced with something suitable to match the decor. The bath towels also seemed small and thin like they came from the dollar store and no toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, ect..) were given besides a small bar of soap which we kept moving back and forth from the sink to the shower. The Inn keeper was nice and the breakfast was good. We might stay again but would choose a nicer room.

I stayed one night and had a wonderful experience. I was welcomed and had excellent on site parking! Comfortable room and an excellent breakfast in the morning. Very convenient and walkable to the local area.

Me and my sister stayed in the two rooms with an adjoining bathroom, the “Daybreak Sweet” my room, which was the blue room was clean, on the other hand my sisters room, which was the more feminine room was very dirty. There were cobwebs on the ceiling fans and on the ceiling. The curtains were very dirty, as well as the blinds were ripped and broken. And the mattress in the family room was very uncomfortable for my sister, fell into the middle. You share an adjoining bathroom, which is very very small, the shower situation with the shower curtain lining inside of the claw foot bathtub makes a very small. We ran out of hot water in the morning. it’s an old fashion sink in the bathroom with no countertops whatsoever. I appreciate the old sink, but it’s very inconvenient for the person in the one bedroom getting ready in the morning who has nowhere to put their stuff. The second bedroom does have its own sink with a counter, which is very nice. Breakfast was very good, love how close it is to town. we were very disappointed with the cleanliness!

We had a wonderful time staying at The Bridge Street inn. It was clean, charming with friendly guests and staff. Mickey was a phenomenal innkeeper and chef. He was willing to make accommodations to our breakfast because my husband didn’t like bananas. He was so friendly. The bathroom we used was a little small, but that was the only downside to our stay.

We spent the night of 7/28 and our stay could not have been better. Location is excellent, walkable to town and a short block from the lake. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the home is charming throughout with many antiques. Micky who runs the home is a credited chef and our breakfast was gourmet excellent, actually the best I’ve ever had. He is well versed on the area and very helpful with entertainment and dining recommendations. We look forward to our next stay and hope to enjoy a dinner.

My wife and I just spent another outstanding couple days at the Bridge Street Inn. Can’t say enough about Chef Mickie and the hospitality he displays every day. His gourmet breakfasts are delicious, and the conversations with him are very informative and light hearted. We look forward to staying there again next summer.
