Do Not Book This Location. Until you read this I’d advise you to Book Another Marriott Location in Charlotte. You decide if after vacationing 800 Miles away, if you’d like to spend almost 2 months to resolve. It’s the lack of communication and being laxativeness. Maybe it’s growing pain as it’s. New hotel. But, not fair to be at customers expense. The floor where the bar & lounge is absolutely beautiful I have to add. Keep in mind- I checked out September 3, 2025 NOTE: I love Marriott. I’ve been a Marriott Member for Almost 9- Years. This review is strictly about The Moxy Charlotte, North Carolina. I checked out about 2-Months ago! It’s Taken me this long to make a final decision to write this. As an avid traveler who balances having a great time, travel experience, budget consciousness, a planner and one who carries patience when traveling I feel compelled to share this with you. They also refunded me the full amount of my stay. Credit to the ASG there. The icing on the cake for this write up was something else the General Manager did (respectfully leaving name out) after I reiterated it’s been almost 2 months. I’d like to end this. After I found, called and emailed Marriott’s corporate office. October 14, 2025-Email from GM as if he doesn’t know who I am and knows nothing about my issues. Friday October 18, 2025-I received a response. (Was out of office personal matter) I’m sensitive to that. I have a family. Offered credit. I responded when, would like to end this. Monday October 20, 2025 - Final email was that he’s posting points today and I should see it by the end of the day. I genuinely am appreciative of the points. However, A more proactive approach would be, make a call (if don’t have authority) have this processed same day or 24 hours since it’s been (again) almost 2 months. EXPERIENCE/ISSUES: Lack of response was uncanny. I had to take initiative after calling customer service 7 times, they tried to get ahold of someone at the hotel, unresponsive, got someone on the phone, emailed 2 managers. 1.) Incidentals refund 2 months later hasn’t gone back on my credit card. They did give me generous amount of points (that was worth more than what the incidental hold). Having issues with credit card processing company I was told. 2.) Valet parking - Upon arrival, Couldn’t find valet guy, finally came, went back out to get car, was not around, had reservations at restaurant, we walked to and from restaurant, upon returning to Moxy Hotel, Valet still not there, 27 minutes later? Someone finally showed. 3.) Check in- check is at in at a bar, (no front desk) 20 minutes to check in, no one came over. Nothing against the bartenders, friendly, helpful and extremely apologetic and nice. Loved them. I don’t blame them. I hold hotel and management accountable. 4.) WIFI - dropped and kept dropping my entire stay, video calls dropping my call too can’t get anything done as it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every 10, 15 minutes
