Hotel Sunset Terrace

The hotel room was incredibly spacious, well-equipped, and very modern! There's also plenty of parking downstairs, and the location is super close to Sha Bian Beach, making it perfect for travelers who love the seaside!

Great location, very convenient.

The hotel is very thoughtfully equipped with a washer-dryer, so you don't have to do laundry after your trip and don't need to bring your own detergent. Free parking is also a big plus! Not having to pay extra for parking is a huge advantage. While there are some planes flying by, the noise is almost completely eliminated when the floor-to-ceiling windows are closed, which is another plus. The room space is very large overall. Next time, I would consider staying there until my return home. Highly recommended! P.S. A slight pity that I stayed in a sea-view room this time!? But there was a building in front (possibly a school?) blocking most of the view; you could only see a small part of the sea. Otherwise, it would have been even better.

The location is good, but you can hear helicopters and jets flying by nearby Kadena Air Base, which is quite loud. The bed and pillows were too soft and not very comfortable to sleep in, but the soundproofing was pretty good. The space is large, the bathroom has a large bathtub with strong water pressure, and a front-loading washing machine. There are self-service amenities outside the elevator, and free self-service drinks and coffee in the lobby. There is free parking downstairs. However, during my second stay, I felt that the air freshener sprayed in the hallways and elevators was too strong and smelled very bad!

The location is actually very easy to reach. Take bus 120 from the airport to the Air Force Entrance stop, then walk for 10-15 minutes. For those coming to Kadena to photograph airplanes, the park outside the hotel is a good spot for morning shots, provided you're using the RWY05 route. It's also suitable for surfing or similar activities.

Although it was stated to be non-refundable, they did not provide any refund at all, even though my booked flight was cancelled due to force majeure caused by a typhoon. I cannot understand this, as they refunded me for the remaining three nights booked at hotels.

It's within walking distance of the beach and park, and not far from American Village by car, making it great value for money.
