Last here 20 years ago, location of pitches and views has not changed but the site is showing signs of neglect even with the new owners. The owners before, dutch, had installed some cabins / fixed tents etc, still there, some occupied by long term residents, meaning that not all 60 pitches are for tourers, due to the location of some, that takes out after four pitches, they would be a last resort pitch. Two pitches were used for debris storage, four pitches out of use due to height of the grass, two pitches taken by owner and staff accommodation. Bottom level facilities spotless, new facility block on the higher level, all new and spotless but no hot water or if there is there is a very very long wait time for it meaning showering is a no go up top. Signage advertising prices was from 2022 so no idea what the current rates are, ACSI rate was 21 euros. Welcome from an American was not as expected, very subdued. Wooden flower planters decaying / falling apart and full of weeds although the chairs and tables a nice touch. The collection of bed pans and the like in the facilities are not a feature to inspire a visit but hey ho. The restaurant on site had limited opening hours but food was good, fish and chips and it seemed repeat clientele. Pastries and bread can be ordered the night before. Supermarket in the village along with a bakers, the rest of the shops had closed down. Bar in the Tabac. Advertised walk from the site and of course you can always walk round the lake. which along with the manmade beach is the attraction. For us, it seemed the owner's focus was the restaurant and not on the site itself.
