BOYE Hotel (Chengdu Panda Base)

2026 road trip – First stop, Chengdu! We wanted to visit the Panda Base and Sanxingdui, so we chose a guesthouse near the Panda Base. I was looking for a hotel that was cute but not *too* cute. This place had great facilities! There was a bubble bath tub, and they even provided disposable bath liners and bubble bath liquid. It was so thoughtful, I just had to try it – definitely boosted the comfort factor! The bedding was excellent; it would have been even better with four pillows, but I slept really well. So much so that we decided to extend our stay by another day. The shower had strong water pressure, and they provided shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner. The hairdryer was a new model and very convenient. The toilet had a heating function, which was handy, and they even supplied disposable toilet seat covers. There were separate slippers for the bathroom and the room, and plenty of bottled water, coffee, and disposable tea bags. Parking for self-driving cars was abundant. If I *had* to find some downsides, the towels weren't brand new, and in our room, there was a wall partition near the seating area that made it a little less convenient. Oh, and breakfast isn't provided, but the area around is quite lively. There's a restaurant right across the street, and lots of small shops, a night market, and fruit stalls nearby. Getting to the Panda Base was super easy. We went in the morning, and there were little 'bouncy cars' (tuk-tuks) outside for 10 yuan for two people to take us nearby. Overall though, it still deserves a 4.9-star rating! Very satisfied!

The hotel offers free parking and the service was incredibly warm and attentive. The room was clean and well-maintained, with smart controls for all the amenities, which were also comprehensive. The hotel environment itself was lovely. It's definitely the top choice for a family hotel when you're visiting to see pandas; our child absolutely loved it.

Facilities: The facilities are very complete, close to the Panda Base. Hygiene: Clean and hygienic, with a garden upstairs. Environment: A very nice garden, though a bit out of the way. Service: Warm and thoughtful, and they even offer free luggage delivery to the airport/high-speed rail/same-city hotels – so considerate!

This hotel is really great! I had a wonderful rest and a fantastic experience overall. The room was very clean and tidy, and all the facilities were well-equipped. It's also super close to the Panda Base, making it my top recommendation for anyone wanting to see the pandas. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone!

The hotel is very clean, and the hygiene is excellent. The facilities are smart, with intelligent room control in all rooms. The environment is also great, beautiful, and the rooms are bright. Service: The front desk service was exceptionally good, warm, and attentive, providing very thorough information.
